Scared for her…

Have you ever known someone who seems to be constantly self destructing? I have a close friend who is doing just that, and I just don’t know what to do about it.  It’s gotten to the point that I truly believe she needs to never partake in drugs or alcohol, ever again.  I just don’t think that she’ll ever be able to handle it… to say no to another drink, another bowl, whatever.

Last night was my birthday dinner.  It was supposed to be a night of drinks with friends and then a nice dinner with my husband.  Instead it turned into a fiasco where this friend got drunk (or something, I don’t know what!) and made some bad choices and the cops got called and … yeah… you see where this is going?  No longer a nice, relaxing evening with friends. Instead we are mediating between her and the cops and trying to get the truth out (nearly impossible now days) and basically babysitting her because we’re afraid to leave her alone in that state.

It’s just scary to see someone you care about going down such a destructive path. 🙁

  1. I know we already talked about this, but like I said. She's old enough to start learning from her mistakes. I'm sure she knows you care about her though. Sometimes the best thing for someone is to let them work it out on their own. Hang in there, and let me know if you need anything.

  2. Listen, if you guys didn't want the cops called, you shouldn't have let me get on that pole!

  3. LMAO… I know, I know, but you're amazing quick, even drunk. You were sliding down the pole before we had a chance to intervene!
