30 Day Fitness Challenge

Remember the Beautiful Blogger award running rampant in blogger land last week? Well, thanks to that fun little chain letter activity, I’ve honestly found some amazing new blogs to follow! I follow Grumbles & Grunts who was nominated by Two Pretzels who linked to Jenn @ Wrestling Kitties who had just started her Weighty Issues blog…

Yep, long story short, I like reading about other people’s weight loss journies because it helps to inspire me in my own. Remember Junket Juice and how she originally motivated me? Yep, it’s good to surround yourself with people who are trying to lead healthy lives (but who know that having a beer is important to a happy, healthy life as well).  *grin*

Here’s the deal – Jenn is doing a 30 Day Fitness Challenge, and I thought I’d get into it to give myself the nudge to keep working on this! Here is a synopsis of her rules (check out her post to see the full breakdown).
1) Work out 6 days a week for at least 25-35 minutes.

2) Work out 1 day a week for at least 45 – 60 minutes.

3) You can make up any day missed if you want and do two 30 minute workouts one day.

4) Track daily workouts, measurements, and weight starting on day 1. At the end of the 30 days note any changes in not just your measurements and weight but also how you feel.

I’m going to begin this tomorrow because Friday is my normal weigh-in day and I need to buy a new tape measure tonight for measurements b/c my damn dog chewed up my old one last week, but I just wanted to give anyone else who is interested a heads up that this is going on!

Join in – it could be fun! If nothing else, we’ll feel better in a month than we do now. 🙂 I’ll probably write in one post a week with an update… or ones in between if I need support and/or encouragement!

FYI – I use http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ to track my food/alcohol/exercise/measurements already and it’s SUPER helpful. Check it out!

  1. My family and I did this for 90 days recently, with similar rules. Not even kidding, I dropped three inches off my waist. Gained two on my thighs, but whatever. I'm bowing out of this one (lack of workout options right now), but you'd best believe I'll be in on the next one.

  2. I remember you telling me that – 3" off your waist is AWESOME!! Way to go. 🙂

  3. YAY!!! I am so glad you are doing this! I can't wait to hear about everyones results. I feel at the least we will all just FEEL better! I am actually getting ready to do my workout for today, after I catch up on all my blogs of course 🙂

  4. it's so funny how this little community of friends has popped up. good luck on your challenge! (sorry, i'm a little behind on my reading, i'm catching up)
