So I’ve never gotten a tattoo because I’m a little bit afraid of the permanency of it, but part of me has always wanted to get one and this is what I’ve come up with.
It’s have to be something:
*I wouldn’t be ashamed to show the grandkids.
*I could hide fairly easily for professional reasons if necessary.
*That wouldn’t stretch and look weird with weight gains & losses.
*That would make me smile every time I saw it.
Hubby and I were talking about it today (b/c he REALLY wants a St. Louis Cardinals tattoo on his back – the STL logo in red with a blue outline) and I told him that if I ever got one, it would have something to do with music.

love it! you should go for it! I have 3 and already have another 3 I want eventually. I agree with you though on the rules 🙂 I can hide mine and they all mean something special to me so I love them
Oooh…that's really big. Personally, I'm not the tattoo type, but I appreciate the originality of other people's tattoos. The majority of all my friends have at least one – if not more.I think Biscuit said it best when she said, "Why put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?" I loved when she said that.I say do what makes you the happiest. Just be sure you're doing it for YOU and not just to be trendy. Otherwise you'll regret it. xoxo
I agree with Junket. Don't do it to be trendy. Otherwise, you'll tell people that the Chinese symbols on your shoulder mean "youthful indiscretion." Or something. I have two. One I love, the other, I'm probably getting covered (see: youthful indiscretion). But, if you love it, you'll always love it.
Yep, it is pretty big, and I'm not sure if I'd get it full size, or a variation of that, or what. But I really like the concept.Definitely not doing it to be trendy – if I was, I'd have done it 10 years ago with my girlfriends and had a tramp stamp now that I hated. 🙂
I like it! I love tattoo's, though. I have at least 4 more I plan to get…when I win the lottery. Because, right. they are expensive.
I like the idea of that tattoo! For me, I am ALL for them if you think about them for awhile and the placement and they have some meaning other than just "cute".My sister and I are deciding on a tattoo that we will both get to reflect our relationship as sisters. We have some ideas but are thinking about it and have been for awhile. She has one already but I do not. I have one that I want to get down the road once I lose my weight….kind of a new beginning tattoo. It is a phoenix, I have wanted to get it for years!I say if you like it get one!!
pretty!I have a LOT of tattoos. like… 6? 7? I've lost count (I have a full back piece, so does that count as 3 or 1? see, confusing). But like you mentioned they are all in locations that are easily covered for the office. In fact most people don't even know I have any.This is how I look at it: the very first tattoo I got at 18 was pretty unrefined. I still like it but I wouldn't run out and get it tattooed on me now. But- that's a memory. It takes me back to a specific time and place and helps me remember what I was feeling then. I fall in and out of love with some of my tattoos, but they're pieces of my history. Just like our bodies age and tell a story about where we've been, it's no different.But don't get a tasmanian devil with a boner. I knew a guy that got that. SERIOUSLY.(do we need to have a tattoo show and tell sometime?)
