Another good week! I don’t know for sure why it’s going so smoothly lately, but I’m happy about it.

I guess it’s just about being mindful. For example, I stopped home for lunch today and my Husband was sitting on the couch eating Oreos that looked really good for some reason. I grabbed one, ate half, and shoved the other half in his mouth. 🙂 He asked me what I was doing, and I said “saving myself 25 calories for later!” It’s all about choices, and right now, I seem to be making the right ones. I’m also working at incorporating more complex carbs into my diet, and with the amount I’m exercising, that seems to be a good addition!

Working out every day is becoming a habit, and I like that. I’ll have to think of something different to do on weekends now that the ski resort closes this weekend – I definitely don’t want this train to slow down! It’s dumping snow today, but I’m hoping for spring weather soon. Hubby and I both have bicycles, and taking the bike path from our house to the reservoir is going to hopefully be my new exercise of choice. From our front door, it’s 2.75 miles to the first county road or 4.25 miles to south side of reservoir (and obviously we’ll need to ride BACK home too). Conversely, we could load our bikes into our truck and take any of the 14 miles of trails around the state park that the reservoir is in. Lots of options – we just need to do it!

It’s amazing how motivating it is to want to be in shape for a pregancy.  🙂

  1. Keep it up! I am jealous you get to snowboard! I have never seen snow! I will come to Colorado to snowboard with you and you can come lay on the beach in Florida! 🙂

  2. Whoa – NEVER seen snow? I can't even imagine that! I was born in MN and live in CO… snow abounds in those climates. 🙂 I've never been to FL, but might be headded that way in July – I can't wait!! My fellow TTC ladies are always welcome to come visit!

  3. here from the blog hop :). Sounds like you have a great routine going! Good luck and keep it up. You're great motivation for me! I unfortunately am a city girl in the boonies with dirt roads and no sidewalks and miles from the local gym that's in a different state… I'm good at making excuses huh! :). Anyway here's to trying again!

  4. Erika – I live in a town of 600 ppl with dirt roads, no sidewalks, and a crappy gym that I refuse to frequent and pay dues to. No excuses!!!! 🙂 You can do it!
