Can you hear it too?

That THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP is the craziness that is my heart right now. Freaking out that we might actually get the house I wrote about here. It’s been a long, drawn-out, crappy process (do NOT do a short sale unless you have boundless patience and money, which I do not have). However, the junior leinholder finally submitted everything for final approval/rejection today, so we’re down to the nitty gritty now. Our loan is locked in at 4.875 (the rates have gone nowhere but UP since we locked in) so we are PRAYING that we get this house and can close by the 19th so that we can keep that rate.

Maybe my future baby just wants to be conceived in our very own house??

  1. Crossing my fingers for you!. I don't think "short sale" is a good term. They are never "short" on the time/wait part of it. My best friend bought a house last year. The "short sale" took almost 6 months. I think their case was extreme … but it was VERY aggravating.

  2. Thanks @azmamma! We've been under contract since Nov. 24th…so we are HOPING to close on this within the 5 month mark if we get the final approval – definitely not a short sale time wise!!

  3. Fingers crossed that everything works out with the house!

  4. Thinking of you! Hope you get the great news you are waiting for (and soon)!

  5. YAY! I will anxiously be checking back to hear the news!
