Side Effects

To my TTC ladies, did any of you experience extereme hypersensitivity to the sun while on Clomid? I went on an awesome hike yesterday, but again, I FRIED. Both times I’ve spent days in the sun, I have fried. This is not normal for me. Am I frying b/c I’m a whitey right now, or do you think it’s from the Clomid?
**UPDATE 6/7/10**
Last night I realized that my shoulders were actually starting to bubble and blister. UGH. Hurts baaaaaadly.
Then this morning, I got the bright idea to check the back of my Amlactin lotion bottle (that the doc prescribed me 10 days ago to start putting on my arms & legs every day to help with the keratosis pilaris). It basically said “avoid ALL unnecessary sun exposure” on it. Yikes. Lesson learned. 🙁

  1. Hmm, I haven't had that problem yet, but I'm just getting out in the sun and usually burn the first time or two. Wouldn't surprise me though if it's yet another side effect of the lovely Clomid. 🙂

  2. Interesting. I haven't noticed that problem, but it could be that I took clomid the first time in February, when I wasn't seeing much sun, and the second time is now and I haven't been in the sun much yet. I hope the sunburn heals quickly!

  3. I absolutely think it's the clomid. I took it during the summer and ABSOLUTELY fried myself. Increase that SPF, amiga.

  4. Oh no! That is no good. Hope you heal quickly!

  5. Oh hunny that looks so painful. Maybe you should have a milk bath.

  6. Ouch!!

  7. Oh you poor thing. At least you have a reason now… Yikes. Can you put aloe in the fridge and THEN put it on your blistering shoulders? Oy, tha'ts the worst.

  8. oh no! That sucks. how is your sunburn now?!?!

  9. I'm am a peeling, flaky mess!! Both shoulders (about halfway to my elbows) and my upper back/neck area. It's disgusting b/c I'm constantly shedding skin at this point. 😛 At least it doesn't really hurt anymore – lesson learned!!
