Miscellaneous Mamblings

Miscellaneous thoughts from me…

I’m going in on Sunday morning for a 7dpo progesterone test to see how “strong” my ovulation was this cycle. Hoping and praying it’s a lot higher than last time.

I screwed up my wrist pretty badly last weekend while digging our fence out and hauling rocks. It’s now in a brace and I really hope it’s just a bad sprain. I cancelled my doctor’s appointment today to get an x-ray because it’s feeling slightly better and I hate the thought of spending money to have the doctors tell me to take it easy & ice it.

I hate insurance.

To clarify, I hate that my insurance never seems to cover shit.

I love my Mom (hi Mom!). She reads this blog and said my post about the cost of TTC got her thinking, so she just sent me some money to help with some of the miscellaneous TTC expenses that add up because she doesn’t want me to stress about making her a grandbaby. Okay, so she really said that she doesn’t want me to stress about decisions like getting a 7dpo test done b/c I have no idea what the last one even cost me yet, but I know she just really wants a grandbaby. Thanks Mom! Workin’ on it. 🙂

I really wanted to golf & play tennis this weekend, and now it looks like I’ll just be a bump on a log instead. #StupidInjuries

I’ve had major issues getting back on the calorie counting train. *sigh* Waa waa waa…I don’t want to complain about the same shit, but I’m getting fat again and I need to stop it. Dammit.

I recorded the minutes for my first church council meeting last Monday. That was interesting. You kind of forget that the church is a business as well!

I am so ridiculously happy that it’s Friday. I love the weekend.

I just added a countdown ticker to BBS LA. Can.Not.Wait. Junket, Biscuit, Bradshaw, Penelope, Grumbles, and I are all getting together IRL for a Blogger Beer Summit long weekend in LA. I squeal at least once a day  in excitement about this.

God is great. Beer is good. People are crazy. 🙂

  1. I really like this random post!I'm bummed about your wrist though. Hopefully you can figure out something mildly active to do this weekend that doesn't involve swinging a club or racket.Your mom is sweet. So, so sweet. That made me smile. How funny that I'm the only name linked with, uh, my name?! I'm so unimaginative with such things. Oh well! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

  2. I could go hiking I guess. We'll see… My Mom rocks.I would be liked as just my name as well, so I guess we're unimaginative together. 🙂

  3. your mom, how sweet is that?? she makes my heart beat.sorry about your wrist, i hate that in-between feeling of not knowing if it's bad enough to go get it looked at or if you should just suck it up.

  4. BBS BBS BBS BBS BBS BBS BBS!!!!!!!Also, you're mom sounds pretty awesome.

  5. Aww, how nice of your mom? Sorry about your wrist, but if it's starting to feel better on it's own that's a good sign. I think it's great that you are meeting up with fellow bloggers – sounds like a blast!

  6. WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Aw, your mom is so sweet. Its awesome how open you are with her about this whole thing. I couldn't imagine going through this without my mom either! Glad the wrist is getting better, def a good sign!GL on Sunday…hoping for a high number…

  8. I love random posts. I hope that your blood test goes well on Sunday. Crossing my fingers for some good ovulation! And it sounds like your mom is very supportive. Mine is, and I can't tell you how grateful I am to have her to lean on. Moms rock! Enjoy your weekend. 🙂

  9. Bummer about your wrist….that is no fun. Your mom does rock! How thoughtful of her to help you guys out. Enjoy the weekend! 🙂

  10. You know, Josey, that of course it would be lovely to have a grandbaby, but that is not my biggest hope. What I REALLY want is for you to live joyfully, to be grateful for the moment you are in and trust that God is love and all will be well. Money is just a tool that people my age tend to have more of than people your age because we've lived and worked longer. It comes and it goes and sometimes we are blessed to have more than we need.It is such a hoot for me to read about your BBS LA. When my AgSisters and I met in RL for the first time in 1996, we got together in DesMoines, Iowa. Some husbands drove their wives hundreds of miles to make sure we were actually just farm women who met on the computer and not serial killers. :-)Peace.Love.Power to the people.xxMom

  11. Aw you mom's comment is so cute. I love mom's!I am excited for your 7dpo progesterone test. I hope it is super duper high! Go progesterone go!

  12. random posts are the best! sorry to hear about your wrist I hope it heals soon. Don't stress about the calorie counting just realize you strayed and get back to it. its not always easy but think about how good you feel about yourself when you are making good decisions about health. but don't forget you need to spoil yourself too!

  13. […] because he said I mumbled & rambled all day long. The last time I wrote a mambling post was 4.5 years ago, so without further ado…here are a few of my mamblings […]
