I really really really want to buy a DSLR (possibly a Rebel T1i)and hopefully move more into photography as a business someday (sooner rather than later in dreams), and when I do, I want to take this class. We almost used this guy as our wedding photographer, and I’ve heard lots of wonderful things about his classes. He does beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses, and I think it’d be an awesome way to supplement our income. Now to find the start up capital to begin…

Okay, I just did something really f*ing cool or really f*ing stupid. I talked to my Mom this morning about the T1i and I ended up buying the Canon Rebel T2i about 30 minutes later. HFS. I originally was going to buy one when I was KU, but since that’s taking WAY LONGER than originally planned, my plan has changed.
Going to have to live on ramen and water to pay for this before my 0%APR is up Nov 18th, but I’m SO FREAKIN EXCITED anyway!!!
What's the difference between a DSLR and a SLR? My husband has a Nikon D60 SLR camera and it's AMAZING!!!!!!!! It's such a difference from regular digital camera. You'll love it! 🙂
The DSLR is WAY better. I don't know how to describe it in the camera world because I work in the telephone world, but it's like the difference between a half duplex and full duplex speaker phone. No comparison. The D somehow makes it take better pictures…more clarity…something like that.Josey! You've got to get one. I've got the Canon Rebel XSi DSLR EOS whatever the hell it all means and I am so in love with it you can't even imagine. It takes awesome pictures. Too bad you can't get one before your BBS get together. Did I mention that I love mine??? 🙂

I have a T1i and I love it. We bought it through an online shop on ebay that sent us a TON of the peripherals as well. 🙂
OMG I just pulled the trigger and bought the T2i. FREAKING OUT right now!!! Hopefully this will be a good crossover camera for me if I go into it professionally as well. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice! McMister and I are going camera shopping this weekend since I asked for money or Best Buy gift cards for my birthday last weekend. I really wanted to get a nice-ish one with video capabilities for Ladybug, but knew we'd never spend the money ourselves. I'm nowhere near your photo level though, so ours won't be quite as exciting.
