Let’s try this again…

Cycle 10 – 41 days. Natural Cycle – NO Clomid – just acupuncture and herbs. Ovulated CD30 – very little CM. Didn’t test prog. levels. BFN after 11 day LP.

Here I sit at CD2 I can’t believe we’ve been TTC for 17 months already. I can’t believe that we’ve only had 10 chances in 17 months to even try to conceive. Long cycles can suck my ass. UGH.

I tried the last 3 non-medicated cycles at the request of my acupuncturist and that hasn’t worked out for us yet (though at least we figured out that I can ovulate on my own now – albeit pretty late). I bought a one month supply of FertilAid nearly a year ago…and then realized I couldn’t take it in conjunction with Clomid, so it has sat under my sink. So here’s our plan: C and I are driving to MN around the 23rd (Around CD12), and we’ll probably be staying there for a few weeks, so this cycle I’m going to try FertilAid, continue with some of my other herbs, and just try to enjoy our time in MN with friends and family. Most likely we’ll be in MN until the end of this cycle, so I’ll probably go to the acupuncturist just once before we leave and that’s it. I’ll miss it, but this trip will be worth it!

Since we’re driving, we’ll be coming back through Denver probably around the beginning of Cycle 11, so I’m going to make an appointment with an RE and see what we can get figured out. Like I’ve mentioned before, Denver is 300 miles from us, so we need to take advantage of us both being unemployed and having the time to stop in Denver and talk to a specialist. We don’t have the money, but at least we’ll have the time… so why not, right?

Hopefully we’ll get some answers in 2011… and a baby too.

  1. I am so scared to have unmedicated cycles! I don't think I'll be patient enough to let them go 40+ days, but I guess I have to. I am so glad to hear that you are going to make an appt with an RE and maybe get some simple answers/fixes for you!

  2. yuck. i'm so sorry about another cycle. i agree, a baby in 2011 would be great!!

  3. I had a few day 30 ovulations, too, which were my longest. They sucked hardcore. I think it was the unpredictability of it all that got to me. I'm unmedicated this cycle and I have no idea whether I'll ovulate in three days or 10 days or two weeks.I hate make New Year's wishes, because none of them came true last year, but I do hope 2011 is our year.

  4. fingers crossed this is your year!

  5. I think that sounds like a great plan. Doesn't it feel good to at least have a plan?? Sometimes that's all that gets me through!

  6. I'm so sorry it's been 17 months. It took me 16 and I can't imagine it taking a second longer. :(I like your plan though and as great as natural is (and fantastic that you DO ovulate without meds!), I think a little boost would do you a world of good.I can't wait for your BFP, but enjoy your time in MN!

  7. Enjoy your time in MN and best wishes for 2011. It will be good to get some answers. Living far away from your RE is hard, part of the reason we waited so long to start treatment as well!

  8. Crossing my fingers that 2011 is YOUR year!

  9. SO sorry for the negative :-(2011 is going to bring great things

  10. I think the relaxation of this trip can work wonders after the crazy busy hectic schedule you've had. And I hope you get some simple answers from the RE that don't require much more money.

  11. I'm right there with ya! I go and see my specialist tomorrow – hoping for a much better 2011 for the both of us! πŸ™‚

  12. Love you Josey

  13. I just found your blog and am eager to follow your journey. I'm IF too. Damn the luck. πŸ™‚ Feel free to check out my blog at http://www.thebrulliotts.blogspot.comHave a great week!

  14. This is going to be your year. I can just feel it. And speaking of Denver we definitely need to meet up for dinner while you're in town!I am sorry acupuncture hasn't made it happen for you :(. But maybe this vacation will be just what you both need to relax and do it the old fashioned way.
