Who knew?

Well, the big family Christmas was yesterday, and I was fairly dreading the baby questions…but get this – not ONE SINGLE PERSON asked me about kids. Bliss. The downside? Everyone asked me why we drove and how long we were staying, and the whole "well, we're both actually unemployed right now so this is an open-ended vacation" response isn't that fun of a convo to have either. Sheesh. At least I got to drink beer while fielding questions, right?! 🙂

  1. Ahh! Beer, I'll be enjoying some this NYE-can't wait!

  2. Wait? What happened with your work? I was looking back through your posts and you never really say. I guess no matter what, when it comes to family, you get painful questions. You just never know what kind.

  3. Wait a minute…you're unemployed? What happened? I'm so sorry that I didn't know this.

  4. Yes, the unemployment comment threw me too… what's up? Dang it all!

  5. I'm so glad you avoided the baby question. The work question sucks too though. I feel like giving people a list of pre-approved questions when I go to family events. If they stray from the list I've passed out I'll give them the buzzer and tell them to try again. 🙂

  6. I just stumbled across your blog. I'm sorry to hear about the work situation, who needs more stress after everything else heaped on you?I have an unusual form of PCOS- and although I ovulate regularly, I've had 2 pregnancy losses that *could* be because of the darned thing. I hope the next RE you see tells you something useful, the hunt for cross hairs on your BBT chart must suck:(
