Yippee!! I’m so incredibly scared excited to start my shots today! It’s CD9, which means that this morning I’m taking my 5th and final dose of 100mg Clomid and this evening I’m shooting myself up with my first day of Menopur. C’mon follies, grow! 🙂

Also – thanks to the advice of Miss Mac, when I talked to the pharmacist in Denver about the filter needles, he was awesome and agreed that I can completely eliminate the glass topped vials that I got with the Menopur from IVFmeds. Instead of having to break that glass and use a filter needle to draw up the diluent, he just gave me a bottle of sodium chloride for $2 and I can use that to dissolve the menopur each day. One less step, which I’m very grateful for since I’ll be doing this alone.
Char flies out this morning for 15 days for work again…I miss him already. Hoping and praying that during his next days off we’ll be finding out I’m pregnant!

Needles…you'll get so used to it, you'll miss them when you're done. Use an ice pack on the area of injection to dull any sensation. It's not really a painful process but it helps with any jitters. So exciting! Good luck!!

Woo hoo! You are on your way now! Good luck with the shot tonight! Menopur was my least favorite of them all.
I have heard great things about Menopur in conjunction with Clomid. My doctor didn't want to give me Menopur (every doctor has their favorite drugs/protocols) but I really hope it works for you!
