All in the Family

I just had to post a quick link to my cousin’s blog. She and her husband are in the midst of a month-long trip to Kenya where she is working at the Tenwek Hospital (just outside Bomet). She is in her final year of residency (OB specialty) and her hubby is a water guy (I have no idea what his actual job title is). At any rate, she and I are only a couple months apart in age and grew up the best of friends. She is a FUNNY funny person, and she’s doing some pretty amazing work in the hospital down there.

Jazz hands from her new Kenyan namesake. 🙂

Caution – her posts are all over the map. Lots of happy, amazing stories (including the local who named her newborn child after her *LOL*), but lots of heartbreak and scary stories too (all OB related, so maybe this is a skip if you’re having a nervous wreck kind of day).

It’s the kind of thing that makes me just shake my head and say WOW every day. I am so thankful that I live in country with access to proper health care. Thanks for traveling all over the world to help others cuz!!
