My appointment with the midwife today was so reassuring. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to just pick up the phone and switch the appointment to this week! It was SO worth it to have peace of mind, especially with this trip to MN coming up tomorrow. Everything went great at the appointment – she was going over my bloodwork result and told me that I’m A negative RH negative, so I guess I’ll have to get the Rh shot or whatever at some point this pregnancy. Other than that, not much new news. They scheduled my big 20 week ultrasound for August 4th, so only three weeks away. I cannot wait!
*Rockstar is the size of a large onion (5.1″ and 5.9oz). At my midwife appointment today s/he was flipping around and moving while we were doing the doppler – pretty cool to think about. Today was also the first time I’ve actually heard the heartbeat. That was very cool. 🙂 Also, while I was laying on the table kind of taking a nap waiting for the midwife to arrive, I’m pretty sure I felt the kiddo move for the first time!! I’m hoping I feel it again soon and find out I was right.
*I weighed 164.4# this morning – Down 1# from last week, so up 3.4# overall. The midwife isn’t worried about my lack of weight gain yet…she says I have plenty of time to pack it on. 🙂 Based on my BMI, etc, she said they’d be fine with me gaining 15-25# overall.
I’ll take my normal belly pic in the morning, but right now I’m exhausted and this pic that Charlie took of me with an onion today will have to do!
So glad you got in today. I'm glad it was a good appointment. Buckie was jumping around today too. The Dr asked if I was feeling movement, but I said I still wasn't sure if it was the baby or gas. I hope you feel RockStar again soon!!

Oh so glad you got to put your mind at ease before your trip 🙂 Im also RH negative, had to get the shot when I was having the miscarriage. Have a great time away! 🙂

YAY!! I am so happy you have that peace of mind and can enjoy every second of your trip as a pregnant lady. 🙂 Umm…feeling the baby move for the first time is a big deal. I am so happy for you. Be safe.
LOVE that you took a picture with an onion. That reassurance is so worth any sort of awkwardness or embarrassment about wanting to be seen soon. Do it every time. It is ALWAYS worth it. I'm glad you got to feel baby move! It will just get stronger from here- love it. Love love love it.
Hurry up August 4th. I go for my 20 week appt that day also and can't wait to finally get the official gender reveal!
I got my RH shot this morning. Right in the bum. :)I've gained 24 lbs in 29 weeks so far. I'm getting a little nervous b/c at this rate, I'll end up gaining 35 or so pounds and I really wanted to keep it under 30. Oh well.You look adorable and I'm so excited Rock Star is doing well. 🙂 Keep up the good work, mama!

Awww…I love the pic with you and the onion. That is creative. I keep thinking about doing unique shots for scrap book but I keep forgetting all together. I am so glad your u/s went well and you got to hear the heartbeat. how exciting! have fun on your trip, you deserve it!

Awesome! I think I felt what I thought was a movement the first time right around 17 weeks. It was hard to tell if it was movement or gas :). But by 20 weeks I knew for sure, so you'll get that very soon. Have fun on your trip! You look adorable, as always!

Your midwife sounds amazing. So glad she fit you in earlier…I'm sure that would have been way harder with a doctor/hospital.You look amazing and so happy!!
