26 Weeks, and Checkin’ out the Hospital

Just like last week, during this 6th month, RockStar is approximately the size of an eggplant… that’s 13.6-14.8″ long and weighing in at 1.5-2.2#. I can definitely tell that the kid is getting bigger – this is the first week that I’ve been able to see and feel my entire belly going BA-LOOP and shifting around. How bizarre, how bizarre. (name that song!)

This morning I was up to 172.5# (up .5# from last week, up 11.5# overall). I’ve been having more problems with nausea and vomiting this week – not sure why, but I’m not real happy about it!

Charlie and I are headed to town now to do our tour of the hospital L&D floor. It’s an older hospital, and they definitely don’t have all the nice amenities of birthing suites with tubs (*huge sigh*), so I’m curious what my overall impression will be of the tour. We shall see. I’m excited to at least do the tour and see where we’re going to meet this baby!!

  1. We don't have to name that song, weirdo. You named it for us simply by quoting it.I guess I should stop calling RockStar a peanut since she's bigger than a peanut, huh? I still like peanut though.

  2. I really liked our hospital tour- it made everything seem just a bit more real- if that's possible. you look great!

  3. Such a cute bump! 6 months already. Wow! 🙂

  4. I think BA-LOOP is the perfect term to describe baby movement. Hahahahahaha.

  5. Wow, you really popped in the last week or so! Nice job! 🙂

  6. Unless you were really hoping for an actual water birth, then I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of tubs. You can have a ton of tub time at home before you head in to the hospital. Then hopefully once you're there, you won't have time for the tub because he or she will be ready to join you on the outside 🙂

  7. Oooo baby! oooo babyyyyy you're making me crazy! you're making me crazayyyyy! Everytime I look around! Everytime I look around it's in my face. FYI it is extremely hard to type how it sounds in your head. Have fun on your hospital tour!
