I’m writing most of this post on Wednesday afternoon, because by tomorrow morning, I’m going to be running around the house packing last minute things and trying to get on the road for a girls’ weekend away with 5 of my fellow IF ladies.
I cannot freakin wait!!
I give my husband a lot of credit for supporting me in this. When I first did this 13 months ago (with a group of non-TTC bloggy friends), he thought I was bat-shit crazy for wanting to meet up with internet friends. Then, during this past year when the TTC/IF struggle got even more intense for us, he started to really understand how much you ladies meant to me. He saw how your advice and your prayers during the seemingly endless failed TTC cycles helped me and how now that I’m on the other side of the IF hell fence, you organize virtual baby showers for me (and Rockstar)! At any rate, I owe him a huge thank you for not even questioning me for a minute when I tell him I’m taking off for four days to hang out with more internet friends. In fact, he thinks it’s pretty damn cool. Thanks, honey. 🙂
SO, today marks 30 weeks along in pregnancy. I remember back in May thinking how cool it was that I was 1/4 of the way there… and now I only have 1/4 of the way left to go. WOW.
Rockstar is up to the size of a squash this month (15.2-16.7″ long and weighing 2.5-3.8#). I guess by this point in pregnancy, the baby’s size has more to do with environmental factors and less to do with genetic factors, hence the varied length/weight amounts. Pretty cool that this kiddo is an individual already. Also, s/he is strong enough to grasp a finger now. I like thinking about that. 🙂
I weighed in at 178# this morning. That’s up 3# from last week, and up 17# overall. Quite the jump, but I’m trying to remind myself that my weight always fluctuates a few pounds and to not worry about it. I’m still eating pretty healthy overall – thankfully I’m still craving fruit all the time!
General symptoms: Breathing while walking is getting a lot harder recently, and I realized that I grunt ALL.THE.TIME. when I get up from any sort of sitting/reclining position. Dead sexy, I know. I try to live in flip flops and slippers now, because it sucks to try to lean over and tie my tennis shoes, and no matter how much I try to suck in my belly, shaving *down there* is like going in blind, and that’s scary. #NoThankYou
It’s super fun to look pregnant, and at the same time, yet it’s a little scary to think of how much bigger I’m going to get over the next 10 weeks. This shit is getting REAL!
30 weeks is CRAZY!!!! Did you get your hair did? Even if you didn't, it looks super cute. 🙂

Ha I was thinking the same thing about shaving the other day. Sucking the belly in is impossible these days. You look great though and yeah for just 10 more weeks!!

Yes! I couldn't WAIT until 30 weeks. I felt like once I was that far, it was fine that I was enormous because the baby could come so soon!!!

Bahahaha! Laughing hysterically because 1) I too grunt everytime I move from a sitting or lying position to get up and 2) JUST this morning I was like "I can not see anything in the nether regions anymore to shave – HOW am I going to keep things tidy!?"

Congrats on 30 weeks, how amazing that must feel for only 10 more weeks. I am sure time goes slow for you since you are the pregnant one but every time I read your blog I can't believe how quickly things are moving along for you, December will be here before you know it!

I seriously love pregnant belly shots, you look fantastic.I am so glad your husband is understanding of the internet friends thing – I can imagine it was hard at first, but the internet makes good friends, it's strange at first, BUT SO TRUE.
That is so awesome to be getting to meet up with a bunch of IF bloggers. Which some of mine lived closed enough. As for the shaving…I know what you mean. May be TMI but I ask my husband to come and tel lme if I missed any spots because I just shave by feeling. I hate to think how ungroomed it will be for deliver and the nurses.

I can't believe you're 30 weeks already! Somewhere around 32, I really started "filling out." People started saying to me, "Oh NOW you finally look pregnant." And I haven't stopped growing since then. I, too, make inadvertent noises whenever I move. My husband laughs hysterically b/c I don't even realize I do it anymore. Have a fun weekend away!
