Stella Times…Week 10

Dear Stells Bells,

This has been a rough week for you. You got your first immunization shot, plus I think you’re going through yet another growth spurt (you were up to 11#13oz and 23″ at your two month appointment!), so you’ve been eating non-stop. Either that, or you’re like your Mother and you eat for comfort…I’m not sure which. πŸ™‚ Either way, you’re going through five bottles/day at daycare instead of four, and that’s more than I can pump while I’m away! Luckily I already had a frozen stash going, so I can pull from that, but I hope your eating slows down or my production speeds up asap!
This is you, all curled up, napping lots to recover from your shot. Your poor leg hurt so much. πŸ™
Last weekend you attended your first baby shower for Mama’s friend, Mary. Her little boy Liam is due to arrive the end of March, and I cannot wait for you two to meet! We are hoping you two are going to be the best of friends. You also met another little girl, Luna, who will be in your class – she was born just three weeks before you! It’s so fun to start seeing who you’re going to grow up with.
Luna slept through the baby shower – you, on the other hand, were wide awake as always!
You continue to love looking at the mobile, and I just realized you can also see yourself in the little mirror on the bottom of the mobile in your swing. You’re obsessed with looking at yourself, and it’s totally adorable. πŸ™‚
I still take lots of pictures of you in the swing. It tends to be where you nap the best during the day (and also when I have my hands free to grab the camera!), so I have a feeling I’ll be able to make a photo book of swing images of you if I wanted to. You’re just so darn cute when you’re snoozing in there!
Mommy and Daddy’s friends came down from Vail to visit with their daughter Aurora over the weekend and to meet you for the first time. Aurora’s Mommy & Daddy got married one week after us! Aurora loved getting to hold you and kiss you and hang out with you on the couch.
This past week also marked your first Valentine’s Day! Your Dad and I are not very romantic people, so there was no candlelit dinner for two, but your Dad did get me a super sweet card, and we spent the night hanging out with you!
Sorry this is kind of a goofy picture of you, but your Daddy thought it was hilarious that you kept opening your eyes wide like that!
Snoozing in your Valentine’s Day hearts. πŸ™‚

Your daycare lady continues to send me pictures of you throughout the day, which I totally love. This one was entitled “supermodel.” πŸ™‚

Overall, it has been another wonderful week with you in our lives. We love you so much!

Love,
Mommy

  1. She's so cute, and coming right along πŸ™‚ We didn't do anything for V-Day either.. V-day is over rated :)The weeks are flying by.. Our lil ones are getting too big too fast :/

  2. The picture of Stella sleeping on the boppy made my uterus jump! She's adorable!I also really love the wide-eyed shot of the three of you! I'm a sucker for pictures that will embarrass kids later on in life! πŸ™‚

  3. I love your comment about Stella being wide awake at the baby shower. My little Ellen (born 4 weeks before Stella) is exactly the same when we're out. She's always wide eyed and looking around, taking things in, while all the other babies I see seem to be sleeping! Sounds like we both have alert little ones πŸ™‚

  4. That last pic makes her look very pensive.

  5. Gosh she is so darn cute!

  6. She's so adorable – how in the world is she 10 weeks already!!!!

  7. I love the pictures!!! R looks the same way when he is passed out in his swing. Simply precious!!

  8. Can she be any sweeter?! πŸ™‚

  9. Poor baby and her shot…that's never easy to watch. She looks absolutely adorable all snuggled up sleeping though!

  10. She is so cute!
