Uff da, I have been struggling with my milk supply the past two weeks (a slight drop in my supply + a 3 month growth spurt from Stella = dipping into my quickly dwindling freezer supply), so I’m going to have to revise my goals here for a bit. No way am I willing to cut calories right now if it means a drop in my supply, so while I work to get that going again, I’m just going to shoot for maintaining. Last week I just totally spaced writing this post for the first time ever. Oops. I just feel so damn busy and like I’m struggling to keep my head above water, and it seems like everything has been relegated to the back seat, from working out to blogging. I’m working on finding that balance…

Starting Weight: 38w pregnant: 186# / 6wk pp: 161#
Last Week’s Weight: 155.5# (2 wks ago)
Current Weight: 156.5# (+1#)
Starting BMI: 24.5
Last Week’s BMI: 23.6
Current BMI: 23.8
1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal:
I’m 5’8″ and have a goal weight of 142# (BMI of 21.6), so I have 14.5# to go.
I’m thinking that 155-157# is going to be a plateau weight for me (always has been), but like I mentioned above, I’m concentrating on my milk supply right now, so I want to make sure I’m eating nutritious foods and maintaining my weight for the time being. I’m going to keep up with this WWW though, because I know how easy it is to slide back up the scale if I’m not being careful.
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals:
Progress on last week’s activities:
Eat a low calorie, healthy salad 5x. — I’ve probably been averaging 3-4x/week instead of 5 these past two weeks, and I know how important it is to get a bunch of leafy greens in me, so this is getting kicked back up the priority list.
Elliptical or stroller walk 3x, ab work 3x. — 1-2x/week instead of 3x. No good excuse here. Yes, I’m busy, but on Saturday I sat on my ass instead of working out while Char was here to watch the baby. Again, kicking back up the priority list.
Activities & goals for this coming week:
Eat a low calorie, healthy salad 5x.
Elliptical or stroller walk 3x, ab work 3x.
On-going Life Style Goals:
Drink 8oz every time I sit down to nurse Stella or pump (drinking roughly 100oz water/day).
Choose fruit to snack on instead of chocolate.
3. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I’ve tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

I've spent the past 3.5 years (and two babies now) trying to find that family/work/life balance. It's elusive and constantly shifting. But hang in there – you'll find it!
I hear ya on the dinner! Getting dinner on the table is a major accomplishment for me each day. And I'm a stay-at-home-mom. I can't even imagine getting it done and working. Nice work lady!!!!
Good luck with the balance of it all. I think some weeks are just going to be better than others and you can just do the best you can. I definitely get energy in waves. One week I'm super productive and the next, nothing just trying to hold on and everything seems overwhelming. It does sound like you are living a happy well rounded life though, and that is the most important part. You are truly enjoying your life and working SO hard. You should pat yourself on the back. You're doing great!
You are absolutely smart to focus on good foods and keeping those calories up so as to keep the milk production up! Gotta keep packing the pounds on that little girl! š
