Stella Times…25 Weeks

Whoa whoa whoa Bells,

Time needs to slow the heck down. How is it going by so quickly?!

Your first summer holiday weekend started off pretty well. It was also graduation weekend, and you did great at the graduation itself. Since it’s a tiny class (about 20 people), the ceremony is incredibly personal and fun, because everyone knows everyone. I cannot believe that you’ll be the class of 2030. WOW.

Then on Saturday, we had a BBQ at the house with a bunch of our friends. Even though most of them don’t have kids, they all love to play with you, which I think it pretty darn cute. 🙂

Unfortunately, by Sunday you and I started not feeling well, and we spent most of the graduation party sitting in the car taking a nap.

By Monday, it was even worse, and you spent a lot of time crying because between the coughing and the snotty nose, you couldn’t breathe when you ate. It was the saddest thing in the world.

On the bright side, you started doing this super adorable habit of sucking on your lower lip, especially whenever you see me and are hungry! Also, Daddy pretends to lock down your chastity belt whenever he puts a new diaper on you, and you laugh SO HARD.

At daycare this week, your daycare lady got a new puppy, and you love her. They named her Bella, so it’s Stella and Bella. 🙂

This is also the week that I pulled out all of your 6-9 month clothes (and realized that half of them should have been out weeks ago!). You were excited about the new wardrobe, I could tell. 😉

You are getting so good at entertaining yourself now while I cook dinner. It’s pretty adorable.

This morning as I was writing up this post, your Daddy called on his way to work to tell me to go outside and get a picture of you with the hot air balloon going by. It never got very close, but we had a fun little impromptu photo shoot in the grass.

You loooooove Chief nowdays, and he is actually pretty tolerant of you. Too funny.

Love you so much Stells Bells,
Mommy

  1. Fun fact: When I was younger, I used to call my mom "Cristy" instead of "mom." My mom thought it was funny, but my dad made me stop. I feel like if you sign many more of these letters "Josey" that you may be inflicted with the same. Granted, I think that would be hilarious, but that's me.She's adorable, my friend.

  2. I hope she's feeling better. I love when it's time to pull out a new wardrobe! It's dress up time! :)And I'd like to see how profitable Sophie the Giraffe is. I think she is in the home of every baby in the US.

  3. Aww I love that her and Chief are buddies!! I can't wait until Alidia starts to pay attention to our dogs… if they let her! So neat that the hot air balloon was going by! Looks like she is doing really well sitting up on her own now… what a big girl!! But I agree, time is going by too quickly. Can we hit the pause button on these little girls?!

  4. She is adorable and I love the pictures of her and the dogs. Melts my heart!

  5. cutie pie!

  6. Love the baby/doggie pics!!! Soooo cute 🙂 and she IS getting so old so fast!

  7. Love the pictures with the doggies! Hope she is feeling better. I am also wishing time would s.l.o.w. down!

  8. Alright, now you're just doing it to freak me out. Leah had a cold too! And actually it turned into an Ear Infection, double boo! Thankfully shes better now. I have also removed all of her 0-3, and some 3-6(!) month clothes out to make room for the 6-9 and 6-12. BAH.NAN.AHS.Loving those pics with the doggies – SO sweet!

  9. She is such an angel face in the sleeping in the car photo. And she looks like the Fonze in her new outfit with the way her hands are positioned "Heyy!"Love the hot air balloon pic! Smart hubby!Yes, she certainly is growing and a 'growin strong!

  10. You can't just casually post ADORABLE pictures of babies with puppies. Womenz be hormonal, girl! That picture of her asleep on your chest just kills me. What a gal.

  11. Oh that puppy is so cute! And Stella looks like she did great with her. I do the same thing with her clothes, I pull them out of the closet for the first time and realize I should have done it a long time ago. This last time I finally just pulled everything out (she doesn't have anything past 12 months – oops!) so we can see what we have and wear it all. Sorry you two got sick. 🙁 Maybe it's better that way so you don't pass it back and forth, you just get it over at once. Keep C healthy though!

  12. Too cute!Love the laundry basket full of new clothes picture! Those are my fav.

  13. I can't believe how big she's getting! I feel like it was just yesterday you were posting that she was born!(Love the bit about tightening a chastity belt – that made me laugh!!!)
