Today was Stella’s first riverfest! Our town does an annual festival that includes a kayak rodeo (basically a funny competition where kayakers compete to do the coolest “tricks” in the water hole), a floating competition of junk boats that people build, live music, drinks and food. Charlie was working, so he had to miss it, but Stells and I had so much fun!
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures – it looked like rain when we started walking down and I didn’t want to worry about my DSLR. Sadly, we got a couple of drops and the clouds dissipated. Colorado needs rain SO badly. 🙁

| After three hours, we walked about 1/4 mile down river to a fire pit area with benches to nurse and get her to sleep. There was just SO much fun stuff to look at that a nap was not happening in the middle of the festival! |

Okay, it is decided… if we ever decide to move from the Dominican Republic, we are moving to your town! It reminds me a lot of the tiny town of 2000 people that I am from… except better and prettier!! It looks/sounds like you and Stella had such a great day. A shame that Charlie had to miss out.
