WWW 30w pp – Happy 4th of July!

Our corn is living up to the old saying of being “knee high by the 4th of July!” Granted, at my parent’s house in MN, it’s probably shoulder high (on an adult!), but this is in Colorado in our back yard, which has seen little to no rain this year. Stella doesn’t seem to mind. 🙂
Starting Weight: 6wk pp: 161# (at BFP weight)
Last Week’s Weight: 158# (2 weeks ago)
Current Weight: 159#…well, shit.
Starting BMI: 24.5
Last Week’s BMI: 24.0
Current BMI: 24.2

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal:
I’m 5’8″ and have a goal weight of 142# (BMI of 21.6) or a Size 8, whichever happens first, so I have roughly 17# to go.
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals:
*Move my body every day. – Yes! 33/33 on my 100 Day Challenge
*Eat healthy snacks. – Mostly. I’ve been grabbing too many mini pb cups lately though.
*Cut back on drinking. – Some.
*Make a new healthy dinner recipe. – I made these roasted veggie sandwiches, which are AWESOME.
*Drink 8oz every time I sit down to nurse Stella or pump (drinking roughly 100oz water/day).
*Walk places instead of drive when possible.
Portion control and calorie counting…*sigh*…I really think I need to do that again. I started using MFP, then forgot after a couple of days, and this is the result. I’m doing great at moving my body more, so it’s the intake vs. output ratio that needs to change.
3. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I’ve tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

I’m super excited about how well The Great 100 Day Challenge is going. I’m 33/33 so far, and I guarantee you that most of those day I would have skipped the workout if not for this challenge. Thanks for the motivation Carlia. 🙂  Feel free to join in if you’d like – it definitely doesn’t have to be fitness related either. For me, the goal of moving my body every day for 100 days is all about making ME a priority every day, even if it’s only for 10 minutes.

  3. Happy 4th of July to you and your family! I am in love with Stella's outfit and that big adorable smile!! Glad you enjoyed the roasted veggie sandwiches! 🙂 I had them this week too but tried them as wraps… also very tasty! You are doing so awesomely with your 100 day challenge! Way to go! Keep it up and I am sure your weight will start to slide down. It is tough especially in the summer. I love to eat (and drink) all the good stuff that seems to be around in the summer time.

  4. She is too cute!!

  5. Happy 4th, pretty Stells! My husband actually said "knee high by the fourth of july" in his wedding vows to me. He's a suburbanite and I'm from the country and I introduced him to many of these kinds of phrases. He also never knew what a salt lick was. !!?? Crazy guy.
