When does the “baby weight” become just “extra weight?” Hmm…
Starting Weight: 6wk pp: 161# (at BFP weight)
Last Week’s Weight: 159# (3 wks ago)
Current Weight: ?
Starting BMI: 24.5
Last Week’s BMI: 24.2

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal:
I’m 5’8″ and have a goal weight of 142# (BMI of 21.6) or a Size 8, whichever happens first, so I have roughly 17# to go.
Okay, I still didn’t buy a new scale, and I’m writing this the night before b/c I’m leaving at 4am Wednesday for the airport, but this was a pretty good week for me, so I’m feeling good. I’ll be in MN for the entire next week (Wed-Wed), so it might be two weeks before I do another check-in. My goal is to enjoy vacation but not overdo it too much with food and drink (at least not every night!). I made myself pack my tennis shoes too so that I have no excuse not to get some exercise while I’m there!
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals:
Progress on last week’s activities:
*Move my body every day. – 6/7 – Not perfect, but much better than last week!
*NO chocolate for snacks unless I have already exercised that day. Close. Only had 1 chocolate on Monday when I didn’t end up exercising.
*Only have drinks 4 nights of 7. – Did it! It seriously took me self control to not crack a couple beers at the BBQ we went to on Sunday, but I did it. *grumble grumble* 😉 — Okay, I wrote this on Monday night…on Tuesday I came home from a horrid day at work, and my husband greeted me at the door with a 24oz Budweiser. Who am I to resist that? LOL. #BadInfluencesAllOver
Activities & goals for this coming week:
*Enjoy vacation without binge eating (unless it’s my Mom’s homemade bread).
*Move my body every day.
*Bring healthy snacks for travel days (Wed & Wed we are flying, Saturday we are doing lots of driving).
On-going Life Style Goals:
Drink 8oz every time I sit down to nurse Stella or pump (drinking roughly 100oz water/day). – I bought a huge new water bottle that is helping with this!
Walk places instead of drive when possible. – DONE! I’ve been doing great at this!
I really liked this post by Sundry last week. This is where I’d like to get to with my fitness goals…
I joined a gym here, and sometimes I go to this class that’s sort of a combo of step and weightlifting, and the room is full of older ladies who crack jokes and bullshit with the instructor, and it’s super low-key and no-pressure and I like it. When the weather’s nice, I ride my bike, or go running, or walk the neighborhood. Sometimes I throw on a DVD and jump around the living room. I don’t spend my entire day thinking about my workout, I just … do stuff, or don’t, and it’s not a huge deal.
I don’t mean to imply I’ve matured beyond feeling hateful towards my belly roll or wobbly upper thighs, mind you. I feel wildly uncomfortable when I put on a few pounds, which is usually what prompts me to stop mainlining Cheetos. But fitness just feels like something I do, now. It’s not something I have to life-coach myself into on a weekly basis. It’s not taking up nearly as much headspace as it used to.
