The Monday Snapshot – Small Town Edition

So you know how I keep telling you that I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere?

Exhibit #19485: They move the cows from pasture to pasture by herding them down the street in front of my house (ps, I live in town!).

Also, I know the guy on the horse, and I also know what he drinks (it used to be Coors, but after electrocuting himself 5 years ago in a puddle of water while working under his truck on something, he switched to Budweiser).

It truly is a small town. Not a bad place to raise a kid.

  1. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

HGB would lose his ever-loving mind of he saw this. Why you gotta be angry at the beer, cowboy?

    1. Also, I liked this post, then I unliked it so that I could like it again. 🙂

  2. Hahaha! That is a small town. Awesome! I would love to see cows on my street. 🙂

  3. LOVE! I’m from WY/MT originally, so I’m all about small towns and cattle. 🙂 *sniff* Makes me a little homesick… of course, all I have to do is try to survive another winter up there and I’ll remember quickly why I moved. 🙂

  4. Oh my gosh, I thought this only happened in our town these days (2012!)… this is so much like Cabrera!! 🙂 I love it! Small towns are the best… although Cabrera isn’t super duper small… just super old school… but I did grow up in a town of 2000 so fairly small and LOVED it as a kid growing up, playing in the streets, knowing everyone. Really is perfect for raising a kid! 🙂

  5. Hahaha that is great.. Reminds me of that Miranda Lambert song “Famous in a Small Town” 🙂

  6. Omg hahaha 🙂

  7. I love this, but of course you already know that 😉

  8. That is awesome! Even better than looking out the window on garbage day to see the garbage trucks!

Everything is relative. My aunt also lives in a “small” town (very spread out, can hardly see her neighbors) and the cows coming back to pasture at the house across the street is a Very Big Deal.

  9. That view is to die for. I love your small town. It sounds like a great place to live.

  10. That is awesome!!

  11. And I thought I was raised in a small town. In reality, I was raised in the country. YOU live in a small town. Hahahahahaha.

    1. Haha. I grew up in the countryside of MN on a farm, nestled between a town of 300 people and a town of 75 people. I now live in a tiny town in CO of about 1,000 people. That’s big time! 🙂

  12. Love this!!! I’m so jealous – I want to be there, right now!!!

  13. This totally cracked me up. How freakin’ hilarious….

  14. I knew you lived in a small town, but holy cow! (pun intended)
