Stella is definitely starting to remember routines and put together cause and effect more and more, and it’s pretty amazing to see it extend into her movements lately. For example, when she is locked in a room with me and wants to get out, she crawls over to the door and bangs on it…and when Daddy starts to run the bath at night for her, her eyes light up and she now crawls into the guestroom and around the corner over to the bathroom to get to him. In the picture below, Daddy was racing her to the bath. 🙂

Isn’t it great how we, as parents, get sooooo excited about these kinds of things!? Two Saturdays ago, we were at a family event at a restaurant and Tay dropped a spoon on the floor. Her aunt said “spoon go bye bye” so Tay looked at the spoon and said “bye” and then waved.
I almost peed my pants with pride!

“I love them both so much!” – this statement just makes my eyes all teary. I’m bursting with happiness for you. I hope my girl is born on Stells’ birthday. 🙂 I can’t believe she will be one year older than mine. I will never forget being on baby birth watch for you, and what i KNEW would be your girl, and driving up to Tahoe on my birthday reading your birth story. 🙂 Was so exciting!

I love that sparkle in their eyes when they remember something, or when they put 2 and 2 together. It’s magical!
So cute!! And don’t you just love the fact that she loves her baths?? I can be trying to get Sofia to calm down in the evening, to put away her toys, etc. and she’ll pay me no mind until I ask if she wants to take her bath. Then she’s off down the hall! Same thing happens when it’s time to get out of the bath (because she’s been in there so long the water has gone COLD) and she gets mad. So I ask her if she wants boobie. Um, mom? YES PLEASE!!
