Stella Times…47 Weeks

My Dearest Stelly Belly,

Clap clap clap.

That’s what we’ve been seeing around the house for the past few days.

Clap clap clap.

Nana Joan has been playing patty-cake with you forever, but it wasn’t until you spent a day at Ms. Jen’s clapping with the other kids that you decided to come home and clap clap clap to your heart’s content. It’s awesome. πŸ™‚

This weekend the weather turned pretty chilly in the mornings, and I got to bundle you up in your big girl coat for the first time. Good Lord you are cute!

Saturday was Papa Steve’s birthday, and on Sunday we all hung out at the house and then went to lunch together. You were practicing pushing his buttons all day. πŸ˜‰

As always, you ADORE your Auntie Jaime, who watches you once a week for us. How cute is this?!

On Wednesday, we had Β an all day play date with your friends (and the Mommies got to chat and catch up!). You guys had a blast!

This week also marked your 1st Halloween. You were so adorable as a cuddly lion.

And we can’t forget that you brushed your teeth with toothpaste for the first time on Halloween as well. Your Nana Joan was proud. πŸ™‚

Love you Stella!!

Mommy

  1. Yay for clapping!!! πŸ™‚ I have been trying hard to get Alidia to clap but no luck yet. She’ll get there and surely have as much fun clapping away like Stella has been this week! Aww she looks so cozy all bundled up in her winter coat… and so happy! I know I just saw the lion photo yesterday but I could look at it everyday.. it really just makes me want to snuggle her!!!

Good lord she is cute is right! I can’t handle the way that Charlie looks at her, that is a look of true love! Such a good daddy!! You guys are such an amazing little family and I love the little glimpse into it! Such a joy to see these pics!! Seriously that Lion costume is to die for!

  3. Raegan loves it when I clap and when I help her clap but can’t quite figure it out on her own, she gets frustrated and starts to cry. I guess more patty cake is in store for us πŸ™‚ I love the picture of her with the other kids…especially the one who’s eating a leaf…so glad my kid isn’t the only one LOL

  4. I love when babies start clapping! The best part is that they do it for a long time! Matthew still applauds himself daily. πŸ˜‰

  5. Oh my gosh, she looks so cuddly and warm in that picture where she’s all bundled up in her stroller! Babies clapping are pretty darn cute, I must admit. An all day play date sure sounds fun!

  6. Oh my! That picture in her winter coat? Too cute! She looks so cute snuggled in there. Play date sounds awesome, I wish we knew people around us with little ones for play dates!

    1. Ya, I’m quite lucky in that regard. The little girl on the far left has a Mommy of “advanced maternal age” – so she gets some of the fear/anxiety that goes along with TTC. The boy in the middle is the son of my friend who got pregnant the same week as me but had a m/c and he was conceived 3 months later. My point is that both understand at least a little bit my ALI neurotic tendencies, which is nice. πŸ™‚

I love her in her winter gear- but it makes me laugh because it’s still in the upper 80s here. Well, I laugh, and then I’m just annoyed πŸ™‚ And she is the cutest cuddly lion I ever did see!

I love the winter coat pic!!! Gracie didn’t clap until waaaaaaay after she was “supposed to” and then only did a few times. But I’ve known all along she was never gonna be a cheerleader like her mommy πŸ™‚

  9. I just love seeing pics of her. She is such a cute pie. I want to dress Zoey up as a lion next year.
