Stella Times…48 Weeks

Poor Stella,

On the floor of DIA on the way to Chicago!

This has been a rough week on you, little girl. Last Friday you got your first serious owie (a curling iron burn on your left arm), and then on Tuesday night you crawled over and put your little fingers on our gas stove, so you now have blisters on the tips of your pointer and middle fingers on your right hand. *sigh* Sorry about that baby – we are going to work harder this week at protecting you from the hot things in the world. Lesson learned. πŸ™

Other than that, we had a good week together. The best memory of the week was you having your first sushi (and loving it!).

This picture cracks me and your Auntie Jaime up every time. πŸ™‚

Practicing with those chop sticks!

Showing off your funny pirate face.

As I’m typing this on Saturday morning, it’s 5:30am and I’m nursing you quick before we get on the road. It’s our first major trip together – we’re driving 2 hrs over 3 mountain passes this morning to get to the airport, and then just you and I are taking two planes and landing this afternoon in Chicago! I’m really hoping that you are a happy girl throughout all the travels today. We shall see. Β An 11 month old should be able to travel like a pro by now, right? πŸ˜‰

Love you so much, Bells!

  2. Aww, so sorry. Seems like it’s been the week for owies and illnesses among the babes in blogland. The pictures are adorable as always though. I hope you all have safe travels, and…see you soon!!!!!!!

  3. What great pictures, love the tongue and huge smile!!!!!

  4. Oh those burns just break my heart. This shit happens, though, and all the preparation in the world won’t stop it all. These kids are creative and can find their ways around most obstacles.

    Happy travels! See you soon!

  5. I love the pirate face…..that is AWESOME!!! Have a safe trip!!!

  6. Where ya going?

I love her teeth so much, they make me smile all the time. Does she wear her jewels everyday? I’m curious about her necklace and feel like you have explained it a while back, but I don’t remember how she acquired it.

    She’s a doll. I can’t believe that it’s been nearly a year since her birth. πŸ™‚

  7. Oh no, poor Stella and all the hot things!! πŸ™ It is tough keeping them safe from everything in this crazy world.
