WWW – Binge Week Edition

Yep, that’s right. Binge week = aka, Thanksgiving week. Too much food. Too much beer. Too much fun.

Is there such a thing as too much fun?

I’ve been coasting along in the low 160s for awhile now with my pants getting too tight again (ugh) so yesterday on a whim, I started the 30 Day Shred. I used to kick this video’s ass… but yesterday and today, not so much. I can barely WALK y’all. It’s bad. But good? So ya, I’m feeling good about that. I needed a measurable, attainable, kick-me-in-the-butt kind of goal (I’ve been totally slacking on my 100 Day Challenge lately *sigh*), and a 22 minute video that I can do in the mornings before Stella wakes up or during my lunch break seemed like the ticket. I like the video because it’s (1) fast, (2) effective, (3) combines strength training/cardio/abs. I’m still walking with Stella on my days off, but I needed something that would do some seriously toning and cardio burn as well. Here’s for noticeable goals by Christmas!

  1. Oh gosh, until reading this I’d kind of forgotten about what lies ahead over the next month and a half…. A LOT of eating and drinking!!!! :/ Good for you for getting back into the 30 Day Shred. I want to tell myself to do something like that right now but I know I just won’t. I feel so drained of extra energy lately. I guess I’ll just have to focus on keeping the food intake down a bit… tough during the holidays, I know. We’ll see how it goes. Good luck to you too! You’re right… We can do this!!

  2. I haven’t really worked out in a year. A YEAR! I used to work out 5 days a week. My legs are like jell-o. Damn babies! They ruin you!

    Good luck. I won’t even pretend that I’ll get back on it anytime soon.

  4. I’m hopping on the workout bandwagon during our break – finally! Feeling pudgy over here, I’d love to be in the low 160s. Here we go! But first, let’s eat and drink too much today!

      1. I was actually going to comment on how great I thought BOTH of you looked when I saw you in Chicago. It’s so funny that we all want to drop some inches but others think we’re just fine! Probably a lesson to all of us!!

  5. So glad you mentioned the ’30 Day Shred’ video here. You mentioned it one time on my WWW post and I meant to ask you about it since I had seen the comment on my phone – which is not blog-user-friendly at all. I need to check it out – 22 minutes sounds perfect. I have some videos but they are all 45-60 minutes and there are days (weeks…?) that I just don’t always get that time each day.

  6. Good for you for starting the shred! I’ve done it in the past but have a rough time with it because I have crappy knees. But I definitely think it works!
