The Monday Snapshot – Neiiiighs!

Like I mentioned in my Snapshot last week, I’m trying really hard to spend my days off taking long walks/runs with Stella, both for the fresh air and for exercise! There is a 3.09 mile loop that I usually do that works perfectly with my C210k app, and while we’re on it, we walk by cows, yaks, & horses, all in the first mile and a half. The benefits to living in a small town I suppose. 🙂 This past weekend I decided to see if Stella wanted to pet the “neiiiiighs!” — but um, not so much. LOL

  1. How fun! She is just the cutest!

  2. What a beautiful walk! (and child too!) What is the C210K app? I use MapMyWalk app since I started out walking months ago. I downloaded MapMyRun but haven’t used it yet, the walk one is the same thing, just GPS. I love how active you are during pregnancy. I wish I would have been more so, but the pressure down low was so much, it took days to recover from just a 3 mile slow waddle. Maybe if I started off in the beginning strong my body could get used to it. I spend the first trimester in bed doing nothing. 🙂

    1. Like you said, MapMyWalk is just GPS – C210k (couch to 10k) is supposed to get you running a 10k by the end of it. I downloaded it pre-pregnancy to train for a 10k run I was going to do, but now I’ve just been re-doing training weeks 2 and 3 over and over (for example, yesterday the workout was 5 min warm-up, then run 1.5 min and walk 3.5 min (repeat 10x), 5 min cool down. The lady tells you “run now” and “walk now” — which I need. 🙂

  3. This is the perfect Monday morning laugh! Poor girl! And I like your app, that sounds great!!!!!

So funny! Lyla LOVES animals a d pets every single one we ever see. I spent the entire afternoon petting huge dogs I was afraid of just to make sure they would be ok with her on Saturday.

    1. Stella normally loves them too! I think it was just the sheer size of the horse that freaked her out. LOL

  5. This picture is priceless!

  6. oh no! but did she realize how soft their noses are?! 😉

  7. I agree, Stella, horses are scary!

    1. Don’t listen to Courtney, Stella! Horses are the BEST. 😉 But I can understand that as a 3 foot toddler, they probably do seem a little imposing at first.

      Great pic, Josey!

      1. LOL, ya, I grew up on a farm with horses, but I guess their size is intimidating at first. Hopefully she will grow to love them!

  8. OMG that face!!! So freaking cute!! I could see why she’s intimidated. Raegan calls everything a dog and waves, but doesn’t go near anything but her own dogs, until yesterday. She was all over my sister’s lab who is more than 2x the size of both her dogs put together! Maybe we’ll head to the petting zoo next 🙂

  9. Aw! Horses can definitely be scary: they’re so big! She might change her mind later though. 😉

  10. Aww poor Stella! I can understand that though. That horse must have seemed huge from her level!!

    SUCH a cute pic! Priceless!

  12. This reminds me so much of Harriet! We have horses right next door. She talks a big game when they’re far away, but when they get close, she gets really nervous. I don’t blame her though! The other day, one of them bit me on the back of the arm and it hurt like CRAZY!
