The Monday Snapshot – Pumpkin Flashbacks

My Facebook feed is absolutely overflowing with cute little pictures of kids and pumpkins lately. During our TTC years, it was one of the most painful times for me, and now I’m gladly contributing to it, because KIDS! PUMPKINS! SCARECROWS! SO CUTE! *sigh* It’s always such a conflicting feeling to be a part of something that was so hard for me for so long.

At any rate, we went back to the same pumpkin patch this year as we went to last year (about 3.5 hours from here). My girlfriend’s daughter is almost exactly two years older than Stella – it’s so fun watching their interactions together change over the years and to get a glimpse of what the future holds for my own daughter. I love it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Wow, sooo big! Yes when others dreaded Mother’s Day, I didn’t. But I did dread back to school, fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now that is a long list! Maybe that is why I drank so much at New Years!!!!

    1. LOL – ditto!!

  2. What a cute setting for a picture! I love it! It is hard knowing that we’re taking part in things that used to be so painful. But just remember that you’re not doing it to upset anyone, just like those before us didn’t do it to upset us. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. So true…

  3. Adorable pictures! Stella has grown SO MUCH this year. But 3.5 hours to the pumpkin patch????? Holy Moly you’re a dedicated mom ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m always surprised when people come down here from the town we most recently lived, and that’s only half an hour away! Haha

    1. LOL, well I should clarify that the pumpkin patch is in my friends’ town! We stayed with them for the weekend as a little get away. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Ok, much more understandable. You’re still a dedicated mom though ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. My jaw is at the floor…three and a half hours to the pumpkin patch? Wowsers! Such a good mom and Stella is so lucky you take her!

    1. LOL, I should have clarified! Read my comment to McMissis above. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I’m totally with you on the getaway to a good pumpkin farm…having friends to stay with makes it even better LOL I can’t get over how grown up Stella looks in the latest picture. So hard to believe how little the girls were last year. Halloween wasn’t one of those hard times for me because I always took my nephews to the pumpkin farm. I’m still a small child myself when it comes to halloween ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. Wow, Stella looks so grown up in that photo!!! How did she become such a little girl right before our eyes?! Beautiful photos and memories!! ๐Ÿ™‚
