I woke up this morning to a dreary, cold, snowy day. Stella has a horrid cough and running nose, and I wanted nothing more than to snuggle in bed with her all day and stay away from the world. Unfortunately that wasn’t an option, so off we went to our normal days of daycare + work.
At lunch I stopped by the post office, and my entire day was suddenly better! You see, I had a care package waiting from SRB, one of the greatest bloggie friends I could have ever asked to meet. She included a bunch of newborn and 0-3mo clothes for this little man (SO needed, as I have none of the teeny tiny things!), as well as some hand crocheted items for both the baby and for Stella. I literally cried tears of happiness while going through the box.
I also thought it was pretty cool that her card mentioned that the box included items not only from her, but also gifts that were originally sent to her from our mutual blog friends Chon, slese1014, Lanie, & Carla. The gifts that keep on giving…

My morning started off like yours. Ever has had a runny nose and cough for about 3 weeks and today the nose was leaking massively and she declined her morning bottle (which drives me crazy when she doesn’t eat normally). We were all running late and I told Mark – “Our day can only get better from here!” And it did!
I miss me some SRB. 🙂

This makes me so happy and feel so very very blessed to be a part of this little community of amazing women and great friends. Heck, I am on an island in the middle of the caribbean, yet about five minutes ago I was peeing on an ovulation stick sent to me from yet another amazing bloggy pal (Mandski). It honestly makes my heart mush when I think of how special all of you ladies are to me. SRB truly rocks and it was so sweet of her to send you this special package.. and to include all those items from so many other friends. So neat!

Well, shit! Now I am all teary. It really helps my heart to give away my tiny baby things with a warm hand. I’d rather give them to *family* than to strangers.
And that last line is something I’ve been needing to remember lately…the mega watt Josey smile helps. 🙂
