Lopsided much?

So I’m asking for a friendย for myself, but how many of you ladies have lopsided ladies? Mine were a little wonky pre-kids, but they are much more wonky now, especially when I’m nursing. BOO.

In the interest of data gathering and out of pure curiosity, I’ve compiled a little 6 question survey here for y’all to take. Please indulge me and participate!

(I’m keeping this poll active for 1 week, whereupon I will close it down and post a follow up post!)

…and on that note, Happy Valentine’s Day! May you have a Valentine in your life someday who is just stoked that you HAVE boobs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Blame the stripes, they ALWAYS fit weird and make anyone look lopsided. Block colours, not so much. I should know, more than half of my clothes are, for some weird reason, striped. One out of four times, when I look at all four of us, it’s like we’re in a “stripes only” club. I dont know what to say about that…

    1. Ya, there was another picture that was WAY worse but I had already deleted it before I had the idea for this post ๐Ÿ™‚ Stripes definitely make it way more obvious!

  2. OMG you crack me up. I took the quiz but I don’t have lopsided ladies pre or post breastfeeding, so I don’t think I’m much help. But it was fun to take anyway.

    1. Lucky you! My righty was just slighty bigger pre-kids, but MUCH bigger now. ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. Heh. Righty is definitely bigger now. I call lefty Snack Boob because the output is so crappy. Good times!

    1. Hahaha – same here! Lefty pissed me off by the time I quit pumping with Stella because it would produce about 1/4 of what righty did.

      1. My left produces way less, bit is naturally bigger. I think. Now I’m not sure which was bigger before kids.

  4. One question that wasn’t asked for those who were lop-sided pre- and post- is whether the side changed. My left had always been bigger, and it was definitely the star for the 2.5 weeks of nursing that we survived through (in part because my left hand was never coordinated enough to manoeuvre a floppy baby head to latch properly onto my right). However, it’s the one that got mastitis and promptly deflated and now sags pathetically, leaving righty relatively unscathed, and the larger of the two.

    1. Ooooh – shoot. I actually meant to ask that! When my milk first came in both times, my left was suddenly much larger, but even with consciously trying to promote lefty this time (b/c it’s output was so pathetic with Stella), once my milk supply adjusted my left is much lower again, and the size is much smaller again. So weird.

I love that you made a survey about something like this! ๐Ÿ™‚ I love surveys and ones that dive into the obvious things that no one talks about are even better!

    1. Hehe, ya, I’m a weirdo, I know. ๐Ÿ™‚

You are too funny! Mine have always been a bit off from each other!

    1. Mine were a little bit off, but much more so now!

  7. I just hope they don’t drop to my knees once I’m done breastfeeding. Even though my left produces more, I don’t think they are overly lopsided. Now I’m fighting the urge to go look in my office bathroom.

    1. Ya, I’ve always told Charlie I’m not against breast augmentation post-babies to get them back up in the right position and evened out. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. What is really interesting is going and getting professionally fitted and having the lady point to your right one and say, “Oh yeah, that one’s nearly a cup size bigger than the other guy.” Thanks, lady.

    Whatever, I still like ’em.

    1. LOL, yep, I was probably off by about that much before, and now I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 2 cup sizes off. Ah well, Char still likes ’em, though he’s not allowed to touch them right now. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Too funny! Mine were small before baby, but they were perky at least. Now they are very lopsided AND not perky. Boo. And thank God for good bras!

Took the survey, but my problem is more shape. I think they are about the same size just shaped differently now, one is more long and skinny and the other round๐Ÿ˜ณ

  11. Glad I’m not alone in this! My left was always a teeny bit bigger but once I started nursing it became WAY bigger. I’m a bit worried about what will happen this time around (I’m expecting #2 any day now) but I won’t let it stop me from nursing so I guess I’ll just get used to being crooked booby girl!

  12. I have always had small boobs, its the one thing I got from my mom’s side of the family, all my other body features I got from my dad’s side of the family, unfortunately I didn’t get their amazing boobs. All my friends that BF always had their boobs get and stay bigger, but nope not for me. My right side has always been bigger and having smaller boobs in general it is more noticeable, but I really don’t care. While BFing my right produced more milk and of course that made it look bigger, but after I stopped BFing they both went back to their exact same size, I was sorta depressed for that, was hoping they would stay bigger. I normally just wear sports bras all the time since regular bras really don’t work for me.

This is hilarious! Not sure if it that’s what you were going for. Sorry if it wasn’t! Happy Valentine’s Day! XOXO

    1. Oh ya, I figured I wasn’t alone in this problem. ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. You should be a test writer for schools to liven things up ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. I always let L nurse on the smaller side first, and that evened things out. The bigger side was generating more milk.

    1. I’ve tried that with no luck unfortunately!

  16. Laughed hard at this survey..ha. Didn’t breastfeeding nora or Avery, so I’m not much help….but my boobs are so so different after Avery. We’re fine after nora, but are now like flattened pancakes or deflated old balloons. So so sad looking ๐Ÿ™

    1. Damn, you ladies are giving me so many more ideas for survey questions I should have asked. Boobs definitely change during pregnancy, whether or not your breastfeed afterwards. I wonder who else this happened to!

PS – you’re not alone in the deflated old balloons. So sad.

  17. I’ve always been lopsided….actually seem to have evened out a little while nursing unless I let them get too full, then my lopsidedness is definitely apparent

  18. Hi Josey, I completed the survey, just wanted to say that my breasts are lopsided because I had surgery to remove lumps from my left breast at the age of 19. Fortunately I was still able to nurse from it though, but I do notice there is less milk from the left breast (not a surprise as about 1/4 to 1/3 of the milk ducts were removed). When I nurse our 25 month old I always start on the right, because it has more milk and end with the left, but it seems he prefers the left and I cannot figure out why…

    1. Hm…. I didn’t occur to me to ask if there was another reason for the lopsided-ness. You and the next commenter both mentioned this!

  19. That survey was fun! At the end I answer “get a life, Josey”, I was obviously joking. You have to see my boobs. I had a lump that was removed a while ago and with the lump some of the helthy tissue was also taken. So now I have a boob that is half of the size of the other ๐Ÿ™ but that wasn’t a problem to breastfeed, I’m still breastfeeding, my baby is 8 months old!

    1. Haha, 11% of you have answered that question that way already. No offense taken. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m glad the lump removal hasn’t precluded you being able to breastfeed!

  20. Yep, big ol’ righty over here… especially after baby (actually didn’t even think about breastfeeding until now.. had just thought of pregnancy.) Doesn’t bother me too much but I would prefer they were the same.

  21. righty is ginormous and lefty is pathetic, lol! glad i’m not the only one seems to be a very common experience!

  22. […] often, because you guys definitely rock at taking them and this was so much fun to read through! My Lopsided Much? poll had 76 responses in the first 12 hours, which is pretty damn awesome of you all! I’m […]
