One of my close girlfriends came over when Harvey was just 5 days old and took some newborn pictures of him for us. She did it for FREE (she is trying to build up her family/lifestyle portion of her photography business), and we got some totally great ones! I finally got the announcements & thank yous sent out, so I can actually post some of the pictures here now. I love how everything turned out!
As a quick note – I wasn’t actually intending on being in any of the pictures, so my hair is goofy and I don’t have makeup on and I’m wearing an old black t-shirt. Oops! Still, when Nicky asked if I wanted some pics of me with the kids, I had to say yes or I’d have regretted it for sure. How’s that for “staying in the picture“?! 🙂
These pictures are gorgeous–kids, mom and all! (I had to spend a moment uttering wordless sounds of cuteness before I could type this. “You having a moment?” my husband asked me.)

Such great pictures and way to go for staying in the picture!! Our newborn photoshoot is tomorrow and I’m all kinds of self-conscious about the giant circles AND bags under my eyes but I’m doing it anyway. I’m going to ask for those soft-focus shots all the way!!

Omg, I love so many of them! Way to go staying in the picture; you look amazing and I wouldn’t have known for a second you hadn’t planned to look as beautiful as you do. Honestly! He looks so much like Stella in a lot of these.
