Lazy Days Off

I work 4 days a week at my job, and my day off has been switching lately for various reasons. This week I had Thursday off, and it was a BEAUTIFUL spring day (which was all the more appreciated since we had snow again just a few days ago). During Harvey’s nap Stella and I hung out and watched Sleeping Beauty while I braided her hair, and when he woke up we hung out in the back yard on the (new to us) swing that Charlie just set up. My God I love these days with my kiddos. 🙂

I don’t know how to French braid, despite years of my own hair in braided pigtails for cheerleading in high school. It’s a major mom fail of mine I plan to remedy 🙂 LOVE the swing!

    1. I was obsessed with braiding my own hair as a kid, and then I learned how to do my kid sisters’ and it’s a skill I’ve never lost I guess. 🙂

  2. I need to learn to French braid! So cute!!

  3. That looks like such a luxury to relax with your kiddos. I’m so glad Harvey is such an easy going baby. These are such find memories you will reflect on for many years to come!

Love the hair! I wish I was better at doing hair.

  5. Stella’s hair looks adorable like that!! Can’t wait for Liddie’s to get that long. Love that swing!!!

    1. I actually trimmed about an inch off of Stella’s last week! That baby mullet that she never lost was just too thin and wispy, so I cut it off to match her other hair better. 🙂

      1. Can you please contact Anthony to convince him to let me do the same with Lids?!? It is fairly long in the back but just whispy, thin, mullet-ness. I really want to trim!

        1. I kinda sorta did it without Charlie’s permission b/c he would have freaked about it. It’s already looking so much thicker and nicer though!

  6. Glad you finally had some spring weather!

  7. Gorgeous braids! So glad you had such a lovely day with your kids.

  8. That swing looks so relaxing, and with your backyard I imagine many naps and quiet times being spent there. I am still jealous of your french braiding skills!
