Our first holiday without Jaime…

Today was our first holiday without Jaime here, and it felt fitting that it was all about Christ’s death and resurrection and how He died so that we could all be saved and have eternal life. I know that Jaime is living in Heaven with God (or as Stella says, “Jaime lives with her grandmas now”), and it felt good today to have that reaffirmation of why I truly believe in God and His love and plan for us. I know he was holding Jaime a little tighter today on her first holiday away from all of us too.

On a lighter note, having kids of our own definitely makes holidays feel a little more special. Stella had SO much fun going through her Easter basket this morning (AND opening presents sent by various other people in her life) while Harvey took a snooze in his bunny PJs. After that we…

  1. I’ve been thinking about you a lot, Josey. A death is always shocking, even when it’s expected, but nothing can prepare you for the loss of someone so young. I’m glad you were able to find some comfort over the Easter holiday. Big love xo
