WWW – Back on Track

In the past 9 days I’ve gone from 168.3# to 163.6# – other than immediately postpartum, I’ve never dropped weight that quickly, especially when I’m still eating close to 2,000 calories per day. I assume I was just super bloated, but it sure is nice to see some immediate results to keep me motivated! It’s also a good reminder about how important it is to think about what we are eating. :/

That being said, I did GREAT at my 2 monthly goals last week (tracking all my food & doing workouts Saturday and Sunday). I went 500 over my MFP calorie allotment on Friday (too much fatty food & beer without a workout to help offset), but other than that I was at or a couple hundred calories below my calorie allotment, and it showed on the scale.

IMG_0016Also, I routinely get CRUSHED by my blog friends in Fitbit, but since getting back on track, I’m slowly moving up. My day job means I average 3k steps without effort. With concerted effort I can get to 6k (it usually requires walking circles in my bedroom at night, but ya do what ya gotta do). Then last Saturday was my highest step day in almost 2 yrs of wearing a Fitbit – 16,000+!!! I’m super proud of myself for that one! Thank goodness I walked that much too since I ate and drank a ton that day. Eek!

My family (mom/dad/youngest sis) will be here from Thursday-Tuesday this week (Harvey’s baptism is on Sunday) so we will be out of routine, but that just means I’m going to work extra hard at eating well, moving my body, and still having fun with my sister Emma while she’s here! We have already signed up for a 5k next Monday morning to help keep us moving!

Goals for this month:

  • Track my food in MFP every day and stay within the allowed limits (I have it set at a 0.5# loss per week & it syncs with my FitBit)
  • Do some sort of workouts on both Saturday & Sunday when I have Charlie around to help with the kids

Wow! What a big loss!!! That’s gotta feel great. Very inspiring 🙂

  2. WOW, you go girl! That’s a huge loss! I love MFP. And my work is talking about getting us all fit bits this summer, I’m sure I’ll love it too. i didn’t realize it could sync with MFP, that’s awesome. Keep up the hard work! It’s the “out of normal routine” things that always trip me up.

    1. Ya, the syncing is great, b/c if you’re SUPER lazy one day, your calories negatively adjust as well, so it’s a good reminder of the correlation between activity & food intake!

      1. Yea for sure, I hate skipping a workout b/c it means I can’t eat as much!

Nice job! I dropped a lot of weight right at first too, must have been period bloat. Now it’s coming off more quickly.

i’m being really rigid during the week and then cutting myself some slack on the weekends. It has been working well. I’m also trying to stay above 10,000 steps a day (which means walking to pick up Osita from school most day). I’m at almost the exact same weight as you right now. I hope we both keep losing!

Ow ow!! Keep it up hot mama!!

I struggle with not summer nights and wanting cold beers. It’s finally nice in Wisconsin. I’m in another wedding in October so that’s keeping me on track.

I can’t wait to see Harvey’s baptism pictures!!

    1. Oh ya, I definitely still drink my cold beers. 🙂 I’m just being more conscious about moving my body to burn more cals if I’m going to do that!

  5. Awe jeez, I WISH I weighed as little as you! I had the FITBIT for a couple years and just switched to the Nike Fuel. I don’t have any “friends” on there and it feels lonely! Eating makes a HUGE difference…Even with workout if I eat like crap I gain. If I eat right AND workout it is an awesome loss. For.The.Love. Good decisions!
