I Wish I Had…

Stella’s latest thing is to very sweetly and forlornly say, “I wish I had…” about EVERYTHING. Sometimes it’s cute and sometimes it drives me nuts…

I wish I had a cat like Nana.

I wish I had [EVERYTHING AT TARGET].

I wish I had a pool in my yard like Grandma.

I wish I had ice cream for a snack.

But sometimes it just makes me want to cry…

Mama, I wish I could fly a plane up high in the sky to heaven to see Auntie Jaime and give her a big hug, because I miss her and that would make her happy.

  1. Aww, so sweet….and so sad. Love that picture of the two of them. I wish I could visit heaven too little Stella.

  2. That’s so sweet. Hugs. (And yes, isn’t it the truth that they do cute things so many times it’s no longer cute!)

  3. I wish I had everything at Target too, Stella. And I wish you could see Aunt Jaime. Tears over here.

Oh man, I was crying, on the verge of ugly sobbing when I read this. Until I got to Elizabeth’s comment and cracked up 🙂

  4. Equally sad and sweet. 🙁

Taylor is on a “I promise” kick and she gets me with those moments too. I promise I’ll love you even if you go far away.

  5. I was going to say the same thing as Elizabeth regarding Target. I wish Stella didn’t have to wish to see her Auntie though 🙁

  6. Wishing I knew how to make that wish come true.

  7. I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller. Oops, nevermind. Just got that stuck in my head after reading this. 🙂

    1. LMAO, Okay, I think we would have gotten along great in our college lives.

  8. So sweet, so sad.

  9. Well I have been slacking on blog reading for weeks now and this morning I decide to start catching up a bit (Alidia started back at school!) and I have been in tears through every post so far!!! What a sweet, smart girl Stella is. I wish she could see her Aunt Jaime again. I know she will cherish every single photo like this forever and will visit her through those images in her dreams.

  10. Oh, sweet Stella. I’m sorry, Jos.
