Random Thoughts

I’ve been thinking for days that I need to post something in this space, but I am SO behind the 8-ball that I just can’t dedicate time to write a good post, so here is my list of random thoughts, just so I don’t have to feel like I’ve fallen off the face of the blogging planet.

  • Working out is cutting into my blogging time for sure. I suppose this is a good thing? I’m doing a dedicated workout for 30-60 minutes every day, and sleep & blogging are the first to go in my jam packed days. EEK! I miss sleep. I miss blogging. I like feeling better about myself. This is worth it.

  • Related to sleep, Harvey is sleeping better again (9-10 hr stretches!) but often waking up at 5am for the day. UGH. Hard to complain about a baby STTN though, #amiright?
  • Covering at work for a co-worker who is gone on vacation for the week sucks. I’m happy for her to be on vacation, but it means I’m insanely busy at work doing her job AND mine with no time to blog *cough* at work *cough*
  • My kids are awesome. Labor Day weekend was awesome. My SIL’s memorial bench that we finally got installed in town park is AMAZING. (I will post more pics/details about it later, I promise. The details in it are phenomenal.)

  • Setting up a new hard drive sucks. I’m still constantly installing programs and reorganizing stuff, and I am SO READY to have things just be working again. At the same time, I’m immensely grateful I was able to get my photos and docs off my old computer. BACK UP YER SHIT, you hear me?

Happy Friday tomorrow! More detailed posts to come from me next week I hope. 😉

  1. I can’t wait to hear about the bench. It looks lovely!

I’m still getting things transferred from old computer to new and setting up the new one. It’s tedious and not easy when I have to (try to) get it done between naps

  2. Honestly, I’m beyond impressed with how committed you are to your workout schedule. I truly wish I had your drive. Yes, it’s worth it and it shows. May you find sleep soon.

The bench looks AMAZING! Can not wait to hear more!

  3. Whoa, 30-60 mins a day?! You are rocking it! I know what you mean about no blogging time. My new early bedtime is killing it for me with the blogging. Not sure how I’m going to make it work.

    1. E – I’m trying to really hit it for the next 6 weeks. I always can find excuses not to work out, so I figured I needed a set time frame/goal. If I can spend that much time every day on my butt on the computer, I figured I could dedicate that much time for 6 weeks to my health!

  4. I love that bench, it’s absolutely amazing. Sounds like life is busy and great! Although Lucy sleeps until 7 most mornings I wish she’s go for 8-10 hour stretches, I’m jealous!!

I got an external hard drive for my birthday a few years ago and am still yet to back up my computer. Keep reminding me, lol.

    1. Think about losing ALL OF YOUR PICTURES of your kids. Go back up your stuff now. It’s so easy to just drag a copy of everything in my docs and my photos onto the hard drive. GO DO IT!

  5. Way to go!

  6. You’re inspiring me to get a move on with being a bit more active – the weather is just getting better here so that is helping and also scaring me about swim wear!

I definitely agree about backing up. We also store out backup away from our house. My husband’s job requires him to retrieve data from hard drives and the amount of people that came to him for help is amazing.
