A Catch Up Post

It’s so interesting that I feel absent or lacking if I go more than a few days without posting here. I suppose some day I won’t feel as connected to this space, but for now, I need it & I miss it. I’m still reading every day (albeit not commenting as much as I’d like to), but I miss sitting down and writing well thought out posts and asking for feedback or sharing words of wisdom I’ve learned from whatever experience I’m in the midst of.

At any rate, here is my week in a nutshell:

A sick, cranky baby (no idea what’s wrong with him – ears clear, lungs clear, but intermittent fever & general malaise with no teeth in sight):

IMG_4767Also, please note that I no longer know how to handle a cranky, discontent baby because I’m so used to my chill little man. Poor kid (and poor mama?). I’m spoiled – thank God.

Stella is still an awesome, precocious, frustrating, amazing little 2 3/4 year old. After just a couple of weeks of me working out consistently at home, she’s already picking up on how “fun” it is and asking me to turn the TV to the “DVDV player” so she can “exercise and make her tummy big and strong.” Okay kid… 🙂

They really do watch us, you know?

Also, Courtney came through town yesterday with her husband on the way to a local music festival with her husband, and they stopped to have a beer with us & check out Jaime’s bench. I always love me a good blogger meetup, no matter how brief and random. We’re also doing breakfast together tomorrow!

So ya, a nutty week, and I am happy it’s the weekend. Miss you guys!

  1. I so feel ya on the not knowing how to handle a fussy baby anymore 🙂 and 😦

And that’s so awesome about you teaching (by doing!) Stella how important it is to take care of her body!! Can you come to my house next?
