Sibling Love

I still struggle with knowing whether or not we are done having kids, though since I’ve been giving all of our baby stuff away, I’m pretty sure the reality is that we are done with two. That being said, I was 1 of 5 kids in my family and Charlie was 1 of 3, so sometimes it’s just hard for us to think of only having two! However, we are pretty darn lucky with the two children in our lives. It is SO much fun to watch them begin to really interact & play together – I hope they always love each other like this. <3

That is such a perfect picture <3

  3. Gorgeous photo! I’m in constant awe of how much my boys love each other already. It’s so great.

  4. What a sweet picture. I know what you mean about not knowing if you’re done. I had twins first, so wasn’t really expecting two. Two seems like a good number to me, but I came from a family with three kids.

  5. That’s an AWESOME picture!! Have you read this article yet? It popped up on my facebook feed today. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/toni-hammer/the-void-when-youre-done-having-children_b_6005388.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000037

    1. That’s exactly it!

I read this last night before bed and am still sad about it.

  6. Oh man, I hope they always love each other like that too. I hope the same for my kids. It took my brother and I twenty-some years to figure all that out, so recently I emailed a few moms of friends who have excellent relationships with their sibs to see how they fostered it. So interested to hear what they have to say.

Did you read this? I really liked it.

I thought I was done with two, but here I sit 20 weeks pregannt with #3. The feeling of being DONE never hit me.

    Your kids are adorable!

  8. What a beautiful photo! I love seeing those two together, especially now that H is even older and really playing with S! 🙂 So cute!

I wasn’t sure about 2 or more immediately after Ez was born because I loved the pregnancy and birth so much that I couldn’t imagine not doing that again.. but then a few weeks past and I watched our family together and it hit me, just like it recently hit Courtney, this is it. This is our perfect little family of 4. Of course there will be days of yearning for another baby, especially in a couple of years when baby days are long gone, but I am sure that is normal no matter how many kids you have. For sooooo many reasons, this is it! 🙂

  9. Cute but we are sooo done, my little one woke up every single hour last night! Still not sleeping through the night at 6 months… oh the things they don’t tell you when you really want a baby 🙂

    1. Thankfully I had zero expectations that my kids would be sleeping through the night by 6 months, so I wasn’t crushed when it didn’t happen. 🙂

Have you and your wife checked out troublesometots.com? Alexis has a ton of great sleep advice for when they start doing the habitual wakeups every hour.

  10. I love this picture! I hope they love each other like that always too.

I am scared that I’ll NEVER be finished! I’m enjoying watching the relationship between G and L grow, and it’s getting interesting now with G being in the “MINEMINEMINE” phase and L finally crawling and getting into ALL the things 😉

  11. love that picture!

This photo is perfect. We are done at 2. But I’m just not ready to say definitively that we are done. Sigh…
