The Monday Snapshot – Las Vegas Edition

Last Wednesday I got up at 3am and drove 600 miles to Las Vegas with two friends for the wedding of some good friends of ours. Vegas is SO far outside the realm of my normal life, but it was a fantastic time of hanging out with old friends, meeting new friends, and having a total blast the entire time. It’s back to reality today, but I can say without a doubt that I’m happy we made the trip happen.

Thanks to some amazing hookups that happened because of some people we met at a club as well as some great planning by the bride and groom, we got to enjoy a fantastic wedding in a private suite (complete with a friend dressed as Elvis who officiated, the bride who was stunning in a bright red dress, and the wedding party all dressed up as different characters), have a blast dancing a great nightclub for free until the wee hours of the morning, spend two days in private pool side cabanas, and spend the night with old friends & new friends at a VIP party in the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa at the Palms Fantasy Tower with a private performance by the Ying Yang Twins.

I don’t think I have EVER used this word before, but it was epic. I definitely didn’t feel like a 33 year old married Mom – you know, until the next morning when I’d slip my heels off and crash into bed again. 😉 I can’t imagine living that lifestyle long term, but it was sure a fun 3 day vacation!

  1. I used to go to Vegas often since Andy has a good friend down there who does marketing for Planet Hollywood, Trump Towers and the Golden Nugget, but now it’s just a distant memory. I’ve had many an epic night there. Viva Las Vegas!

Also. Your legs looked HAWT in that dress.

    1. Thanks! Wearing heels definitely makes me like my legs a LOT more. 🙂 It was fun to feel good in outfits, even if I’m not super happy with my body right now.

  2. Your pics and the ones you were tagged in on fb definitely stood out in my feed of boring parents this weekend 🙂 You look fantastic! I’ll have to tell you about one my trips to Vegas when we hooked up with the mob (seriously) on accident and enjoyed a VIP weekend I’ll never forget.

    1. LOL – that’s pretty much what we did. Whenever we asked what they did for a living, they said “we do well…”

      Well, okay then. 🙂

  3. I love your dress! I’ve never been to Vegas, but I hope to go one day. Preferably kid-free. It looks and sounds like an amazing time!

  4. You look H.O.T. in that little black dress and heels! What a fun time away from home, and epic sounds like the perfect way to describe it!

  5. What an awesome EPIC weekend! Sometimes it’s nice to not be that mama and to go out and have fun. And of course. The legs. Smokin’ hawt. x
