Choose Your Hard

So a few of you may know that my Mom is on a fantastic weight loss & fitness journey, and she is continually my inspiration for the dedication to make the small choices that add up to big results throughout the process. I don’t think she’ll mind me sharing that she is down 66.9# and counting, simply by doing manageable lifestyle changes that include eating less & moving more. She has also been doing my PiYo/Running Challenge for the past month to switch things up!

At any rate, she writes a weekly email to me and my sisters and a few close friends to help keep herself accountable, and I so look forward to reading her words each week about her journey. Last summer she had a week where she had simply maintained instead of losing, and she was a bit frustrated with the process. One of my sisters had this to say in response, and it has stuck with me ever since:

I look forward to and am honored to share in your journey. Losing weight is hard. Being overweight is hard. Maintaining weight is hard. Choose your hard!! 🙂

CHOOSE. YOUR. HARD.

As I’ve been dedicating myself more and more to this journey to being the healthiest, hottest, happiest version of myself, I find myself continually returning to these words and finding more and more resolve and dedication from deep within my soul. Thanks for the inspiration, sis!
