Almost 4 years ago I started my Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In (WWW) posts with my 1 week postpartum post after delivering Stella. I’ve kept up with them pretty consistently over the years, but it’s time for something new. I don’t want the focus to be only on weight, because as we all know, the scale doesn’t tell the whole story. The first post in my reader today was from my awesome coach Blake, and she had entitled it #WorkoutWednesday, so I’m totally going to copy her, at least for today! My body has changed dramatically in the past few months thanks to my daily workouts & cleaned up diet while the scale has only budged 3#. I know that as I continue to clean up my diet the scale will move more, but I’m so happy to be seeing changes in the mirror even when the scale isn’t moving.

This was after my first 4 weeks on PiYo during the month of October – not even a tenth of a pound of weight loss between these photos, but my body is definitely changing for the better. I’m so much stronger and leaner already!ย

I just finished an 8 week PiYo challenge group (the Pilates & Yoga beachbody program is intended to be done for 60 days), and I am SO happy with the results. I lost an inch off my belly & gained more tone & definition all over (especially in my back & arms), plusย I lost 3#, and that was with plenty of slip ups when it came to my food & drinks.

Over the next 3 weeks I’m doing a 21 Day Fix challenge group and trying really hard to stick well to it for theย entire three week challenge. I am so not a morning person, but every morning that I drag myself out of bed to do my workout I end the day feeling better about myself for the choices I’ve made in my life that day.

December 2015 Goals

There are 4 weeks left in 2015. Last December I gained 6.5# in December, and I am NOT going to do that again. This morning I was at 162.4# (down 3.4# after clean eating and working out after the Thanksgiving weekend – sheesh!) and my plan is to be SAFELY in the 150s come January 1st. Last January 1st I was 165.8#, and I basically spent 2015 vascillating in the 160s. I’m done with that. So here are my goals:

  • Nov 30-Dec 20:
    • Work out every day for the next 3 weeks of my 21 Day Fix challenge (snowboarding counts as a workout too!)
    • Stay within my calorie limits for the next 3 weeks as well.
  • Dec 21-22:
    • Keep it clean. Keep up with workouts.
  • Dec 23-30:
    • Enjoy vacation with my family, BUT, I’m going to bring my laptop so I can stream my workouts from BOD (Beachbody on Demand), and I want to work out at least 5 of the 8 days we are on vacation. The house in AZ has a pool, so that’s good motivation. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Dec 31: Enjoy NYE with my hubby and celebrate that I’m entering 2016 as a happier, healthier version of me!

  1. Look at your arm muscles, girl! You are CRUSHING it!!!!!! I love seeing how much you’ve progressed!!! Kudos! Keep it up!

    1. Thanks! Those tricep pushups are good for something I guess. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Nice! I’m doing the 21dayfix as well. I’m loving it! I lost 3 pounds thanksgiving week!

    1. Good for you! I totally love the program. Just eating whole food in good portions and proportions. Makes so much sense.

  3. Go go go! The 150’s are yours for the taking!!! My bet is safely at 155 or less!

    1. Thanks! That’s my hope. ๐Ÿ™‚ At least 158#, but 155# or less would be fantastic!

I’ll workout with you in Arizona!

    1. I figured you would, little sis. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m going to get everyone in on it! LOL

  5. Those are impressive side-by-side photos! I’ve been cleaning up my diet this week, but of course it’s not completely clean. My goal though is fitting into a pair of black pants by next Wednesday when the SO graduates, LOL!

    1. Yeah, I don’t really every go completely clean. Ha! I like to enjoy life, but learning to do so in better moderation is a good thing too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You look great: I can see real changes between the “before” and “after” photos. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m also doing 21 Day Fix right now for the first time; started on Monday. So far, so good.

As I scanned to the bottom of my Bloglovin feed, I saw your post and directly under it was an ad for Ugg. I LOLed bc that’s exactly what crossed my mind when I saw your awesome before and after pics and realized I hadn’t gotten back to you about our emails. Sorry! As always, you’re amazing and look amazing and are totally inspiring. Also, you’re going to Arizona? Fun! A ton of people from around here vacation there, but for some reason, it was shocking to me that you (and your family) would go there. I know, weird.

    1. Haha, no worries. I was going to pester you next week if you hadn’t responded yet ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is the first time EVER that we’ve gone somewhere warm over Christmas. It has always been my parent’s house in MN (except the year Stella was born and 2weeks old so everyone came to CO). This will be a different experience for us!

  8. You look fantastic! You are doing a great job sticking to the workouts, especially during probably one of the hardest times of the year with all the holidays.

  9. Woohoo! Your back progress is so great! It never occurs to me to take that picture. I also bought stuff to restart mason jar salads after your post the other day.

I like the change of title. I have literally not lost a single ounce in the last 16 weeks even though my body has changed so much. I weighed myself for week 8(+4) pictures and I don’t think I’ll be doing it again. Brad hid the scale and I don’t care anymore. It doesn’t matter!

    1. I know – I wish I’d have taken a before pic, but I figured a progress pic now is better than nothing, because I’m going to keep getting stronger and learner. I know it! Your progress the last 16 weeks has been SO inspiring to me, Sarah. I love it!

  10. you’re doing awesome! I’m planning to refocus on working out and keeping up with clean eating in the new year. you can tell how much muscle you’ve gained from the pic! awesome.
