We Did It!

Oh my goodness, you guys. I meant to post about this a couple of days ago, but I’m just now getting a chance to sit down and tell you about how INCREDIBLY difficult and exhilarating and humbling and amazing the race was last weekend.

Like I said, we decided last minute to do this challenge (about a week ahead of time), and somehow we actually did pretty darn well! It was HARD. Like, harder than I had anticipated hard. But we did it. And we looked at each other MANY times on the course just laughing and in awe of what we were doing.

To see a bunch of pictures they posted of the race, click here. There’s only one with me in it (see below). Not the most flattering photo, but dammit – at least it proves I was there!! 🙂

We were muddy, wet, bruised, and exhausted by the time we crossed that finish line 1 hour 42 minutes and 54.9 seconds later, but we were SO PROUD OF OURSELVES. The course was 8k long (5 miles) and had 24 crazy hard obstacles on it, and we completed all but 2 obstacles. It.Was.Awesome. I think we’re going to even sign up to do it all over again in Denver on October 1st. Eek!

I’m surprised you said the picture wasn’t flattering. The only thing I noticed was that you were smiling!
