Well, slowly but surely my ankle is starting to do better! Last night was our first softball game of the season, and I was definitely nervous about it (I play first base), but it actually went pretty well, even with my abysmal hitting. My ankle held out okay for running the bases (though the twisting motion of batting definitely gave it twinges of pain), so I was stoked to get to actually participate.

In the end, our co-ed team won 14-9 (who-hoo!), and our new shirts look great! Our team sponsor from last year is no longer around, so Charlie and I took over sponsorship this year. Not gonna lie – it’s pretty fun to see the whole lot of us running around with our company team shirts on. 🙂 The main logo is on the back, but I don’t necessarily want to share the image here on this semi-anonymous blog, so you’ll have to settle for a team photo from the front.

I also am in the midst of  a 3 Day Reset this week through Beachbody. I tried it a few months ago and really liked it, and after not working out for the past two weeks and letting my nutrition slip a bit, I really needed it. I’m on the morning of Day 3 right now, and even with having beers at our game last night (I mean, seriously, what is co-ed beer league softball without a couple drinks?), I’m down 2.5# and feeling really good. It’s always good for me to get a little reminder about how my diet is typically much too high in cheese and a little low in fiber. Let me know if you’re interested in trying a reset with me ever!

Happy hump-day to everyone!

Love the logo shirts and glad you’re feeling a bit better. I just read the last couple Dooce posts about running and thought of you and your ankle. Good luck!

    1. I know, I’ve been following her posts & podcasts closely lately!

SO RANDOM– I live in Southern Oregon and was scrolling through Facebook today and saw a pic of you! It totally freaked me out in a “The world is a tiny place and the Internet makes it smaller” kind of way. Apparently we have a mutual friend who used to live in S Oregon and just moved back to Colorado- Amy. Anyway, it’s been a couple of years since I read your blog but it prompted me to come check in and see how you’re doing. I’m so glad you’re still writing! Your blog got me through some tough infertility times knowing I wasn’t alone. We have an adopted kiddo (a little 3 year old girl) and we are doing a FET in a week. Sooooo fingers crossed! 🙂

Anyway. I’m a creeper who recognized you from reading like 4 years ago. Just wanted to say hi! 🙂

    1. Lol, Amy and I met 15 years ago when I first came to CO on spring break because she was the best friend of my college bestie whom i was visiting at the time! Her (now ex) husband is still one of my best friends in town, and when she and her new hubby moved back this year from Oregon, we’ve started reconnecting. A small world indeed!

FX for your FET this week!!
