Day 8, #NaBloPoMo – #ImWithHer

Two weeks ago today, my Mom went in to see her doctor for a routine, acute health issue, and while she was there, her doctor discovered something he found concerning. After the initial testing was completed and as he was about to tell her what he had found, my Mom told us that she had two thoughts cross her mind.

I could hear Grandpa Gene saying “There’s something kind of funny going on here…” lol – and my second thought was however this story goes I WILL be voting for Hillary on November 8th. 🙂

Yep, that’s my Mom. 🙂

Last week when Mom was at her big appointment with the surgeon, my youngest sister (who lives next to my parents and shares a driveway with them) texted the family this picture.

We all sent complimentary messages, and Mom was so happy to finally have her signs arrive. Clearly my family learns pretty left. Ha!

Like most everyone in America, I am sick to death of reading about politics after this insane Presidential race, so I’ll skip giving you my political run down today. That being said, I am beyond grateful to God and for the advances in Western medicine that allowed my Mom to be here with us today after a pretty intense surgery yesterday. Her hope for tonight is to be feeling well enough to watch the polling numbers roll in on her laptop (albeit from her hospital bed), just like she normally does. xoxo

I know you didn’t like what I said in my post, but the part about smiling at the packed-full ballot box, thinking of everyone who couldn’t wait to cast their vote, I meant it with all my heart, and reading about your mom’s excitement for it all made me smile again 🙂 I’m so, so happy for her that she’s here to watch it happen, and I’m so, so happy for you that she’s here.

    1. Ha, you know I love you. And yes, I loved that part of your post. 🙂
