#NaBloPoMo – Day 2, R+F

As you can tell from the last 8 years of me posting in this space, I am not much of a makeup girl, and I struggle to feel put together on a daily basis. With that being said, over the past few years I’ve begun to focus a lot more on taking care of my skin, because HOLY SHIT I’M GETTING OLDER, #amiright?

Seriously you guys – I often feel like I’m 25, and then I look in the mirror or experience a hangover and think DAMN, I’m so totally not 25 anymore, I’m 35 and it shows. #Gulp

I’ve never actually intended to post on this blog about being an R+F Consultant, but since their newest awesome product launched this morning and I’m going to need to come up with stuff to blog about for 30 days in a row, I figured it was a sign that I should write about it today. 🙂

I don’t know about you guys, but I have 2 makeup essentials, even on my busiest mornings:

  1. Mascara (I don’t feel awake without it on!)
  2. Under eye concealer

That’s it. Some days I’ll try to get around to adding in some basic eye shadow or powder or chapstick or whatever, but at its core, those are literally the two items I’d want to bring on Survivor with me.

For about a year I had fake lashes (silk lashes that are literally attached to your natural lashes one by one), and OMG did I love them. They looked amazing, and I never had to bother with mascara. However, they’re damned expensive and a ton of upkeep because you get fills every 3 weeks or so, so I finally took them off to give my natural lashes (and pocketbook) a break.

That is where Lash Boost comes in. I had been using R+F skin care regimens for probably a year at that point (which are fantastic as well), and my ALI Blog friend Amanda talked me into trying their Lash Boost to help my natural lashes look amazing all on their own.

You guys, I seriously don’t think I’ll ever go back to fake lashes! Below are my first before & after photos and a pic of me with mascara on. I love my lashes SO MUCH now.

At any rate, I just got totally distracted talking about Lash Boost. My POINT is that mascara and under eye concealer have always been my must-haves, and now R+F just came out with a new eye product that I am SOOOOOO freakin’ excited to try out! It’s called “Bright Eye Complex,” and it is a super hydrator and illuminator that reduces puffiness and brightens dark circles. I haven’t tried it yet, but my friend Amanda did just 5 days on one eye, and check out the difference!

As someone whose under-eye circles have always been a huge source of insecurity, this is a game changer for me! You’d better bet I’m going to order some up to try myself ASAP. Honestly, the older I get the less fussy I get about a lot of things when it comes to my style, but at the same time, I’m also realizing the importance of taking care of my skin and doing small things to feel good about myself over the long run. I challenge you to do the same!

With that being said, let me know if you’d like more information about any of the R+F products. They really have some amazing stuff! R+F is even running a Christmas special that bundles these two products TOGETHER for a discount. #WhoopWhoop

  1. How much is that bundle and if I want to order it (I’m in Canada) can I do that through you?

    1. Yep, for sure! I’ll send you an email with all the details.
