Last Saturday, my baby turned 5. It feels like we are now solidly in the land of real life little people and not babies or toddlers. He argues with me, he (sometimes) reasons with me, and he chats with me about his day. He is SUPER fun and SUPER challenging. He loves construction vehicles, his friends, and his family with his whole heart – he just may claim to hate EVERYTHING more often than not lately. He lives life in jumps of big emotions, and it’s exhausting and exhilarating all at once. Good God I love this kid.
