WWW – Week 3, 27%

Whoop whoop! I’m officially 37, which somehow makes me feel old as hell, even though I usually don’t care about my age at all. I’m pretty sure that’s because I’ve been stuck at age 27 in my head for (*gulp*) a decade now, so it’s eye opening to realize that I really need to adjust the age that I think I am in my head! LOL

Starting Weight: 190.3#
Weight Loss This Week: 0.5#
New Weight: 184.7#
Total Weight Lost: 5.6#
Weight Left to hit my 1st Goal on June 1: 15.7#

Only down 1/2# this week, but you get out what you put in, and I deserve to not have lost more than that after a weekend drinking and eating with family and friends! I wasn’t totally out of control, but definitely a few extra drinks + appetizers and eating on the road gets me off my A-game when it comes to eating mindfully. MFP has me set at a 1,470 calorie goal (on no workout days), and overall I’m pretty good at sticking to that range. I was at 1,540 avg. for the 6 days I tracked, and I’m sure I was over that with the day I didn’t (ha!), so 1/2# sounds about right!

MFP Progress (i.e. Eating Mindfully!) & Workout Tracking (i.e. Getting my groove on!)

  • Wednesday: 1,228 cal & 30 min. on the AMT + walk to piano lessons
  • Thursday: 1,904 (out for apps & drinks with girlfriends)
  • Friday: 1,861 cal & 45 min. on the AMT
  • Saturday: Only tracked through lunch (wedding night) & wedding dancing. Definitely a wonky day for food & movement. The wedding food was delicious though – see menu below!
  • Sunday: 1,601 cal
  • Monday: 1,350 cal
  • Tuesday: 1,296 cal & 37 min. on the AMT

Macro Breakdown: 33% / 45% / 22%

Only 3 days of working out this week, but I figure sometimes that happens. I’ve been really tired this past week, and on Sunday we were in the car from 9:15-5:00, so I had zero desire to workout when we got home. I’m pleased that I at least got a few days in though, and my eating was decent overall.

My big goal for this week is to really focus on getting in more protein in my diet! 22% is just too low, so I’m going to make some quinoa and focus on making sure I’m getting plenty of protein at each meal and see if I can get that number up to get my energy up! Just gotta keep on keepin’ on, right Mom? 🙂

  1. I know that 0.5 lbs wasn’t what iou we’re hoping for, but given the week you had I think it’s great that you were able to stay focused on mindfulness. That’s a big win in my book.

    1. Agreed!

  2. Slow and steady wins the race! Those half-pounds add up over time!

BTW, I had to chuckle when I read that being 37 makes you feel old. I will be 48 on my next birthday — ha! 🙂

    1. It’s all relative for sure, and I don’t actually think 37 is old! Just for me in my head since I got stuck at 27 in my head long ago. 🙂

Half a pound while you were out of town plus a wedding! That’s impressive!! Way to stay focused!
