Below are montages of my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters (4w-13w, 14w-27w, 28w-37w).
Yes, it’s fairly narcissistic, but I always loved seeing other people’s belly pics, and it’s pretty amazing to see how your body changes as you grow a tiny human inside of you. Wow! 🙂
FYI for comparison sake, I am 5’8″ tall, I weighed 161# when I got my BFP, and I gained 25# by the time I delivered at 38w exactly.
I gained 6# throughout the 1st trimester, 7# throughout the 2nd trimester, and 12# throughout the 3rd trimester.
Post baby, I have taken four additional belly shots.
In the hospital about 12 hours post baby, just to keep it real. 🙂
1 week postpartum – down 20# already.
6w postpartum – down the total 25# I gained during my pregnancy, but definitely a different shape.
4 months postpartum – 5# below BFP weight, still roughly 15# from my goal weight.
It’s frustrating to realize that even at 5# below my pre-pregnancy weight, I still have a much bigger belly/hips than I used to. Yes, it makes sense, but GRRR! Hence the need for my Weekly Wednesday Weigh-Ins. Check it out and join in if you’d like!
