Quick Update from Denver

Hey everyone! So the hubby and I are in Denver getting ready for our first CC.RM appointment tomorrow!

After stopping my 10th day of prometrium on Sunday, I was hoping to get AF on Monday (so that I could just meet Charlie in Denver on his way back through from work in ND and save him 12 hrs of driving), but since that didn’t happen, I’m glad AF held off until Thursday so we could enjoy one evening “together” before it was full bore back into the TTC thing. This weeks apart shit blows – have I mentioned that before? A girl’s got needs!

At any rate, CD1 was yesterday, so I called CC.RM to get the appointments all set up, and today we hopped in the car and drove 300+ miles to Denver. We rolled in about 7:30 tonight, and our first appointment is the CD3 bloodwork we’ll have drawn tomorrow. Nothing major, but it’s the first step, and that’s exciting!! We’ll have the rest of the weekend to see some friends (and I’ll finally get to meet Natalie!).

Monday morning we’ll go back in for the baseline ultrasound, consult with the genetic peeps, nurses, and RE, more bloodwork, the SA (and ASAB), etc. Basically, I think we’ll be at CC.RM for 6+ hours. Then Tuesday morning we’ll go in for the HSG (unfortunately couldn’t get that scheduled for Monday), and then we’ll head back home, hopefully with a tentative plan in place, and after all the test results are in, the RE will call us back with our final plan.

CC.RM deserves a huge thank you for getting everything scheduled so tightly together for us. Do you think $3-4k is a good enough thank you? 😛

That being said, every penny is worth it (and my parents deserve a huge thank you for their help with this part of the process). We’re finally taking the next step on this journey!!
