This time of year is so bizarre as far as temperatures go – it’s been down to 30s and 40s in the mornings but then creeps up to the 70s and low 80s in the afternoons. That is unseasonably warm for us at this time of year (especially because we’re at 7-8,000′ in elevation). Remember that pic I posted of fresh snow on the mountains? That was on 9/18. The picture below is of our backyard on 9/22, and the sunflowers are from this morning 9/28 (taken about 30 minutes apart – pre and post sunrise). Charlie planted the flowers super late in the season on a whim, and he is so excited that they actually bloomed before the first hard frost hit us. They ended up being mini-me versions of sunflowers, but they’re still pretty. 🙂

Ps – thanks for all the comments about the belly video. I was a little nervous to post it because I know how hard it is to see those things when you’re still in the TTC trenches, but I keep reminding myself that this blog is above all a journal for me and RockStar…about the good and the bad. I want to make sure I remember those little moments of joy just as clearly as I remember the pain and despair after each BFN. Also, I took a new video last night where the movement is much more definite and posted it on my IRL family blog. Feel free to check it out if you want!
